Logan Park Farm is an historic 4th generation family farm with beef cattle and cropping set on the Logan River with beautiful surroundings in the Scenic Rim. The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. "Murphy's" is a newly renovated three bedroom cottage which was once part of Tamrookum Homestead built by Robert Collins and family in the 1860s. In the early 1930s the homestead was taken apart and six homes were built from it including "Murphy's". In 2020 the Murphy family of Rob, Libby, Ben and Cameron, still living on the property in the current homestead across the road, decided to renovate the cottage. It is now a lovely reincarnation of times gone by with a flourish of modern amenities, including indoor dining with modern kitchen appointments, outdoor dining and barbecue, full laundry and comfortable bathroom.Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to any one with the swag, tent, camper, caravan or motorhome. You need to be self sufficient. For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.
