We had such a great stay. Made a last minute booking on a super hot day, and Katie had a lovely shady spot for us and our cat. All the horses on the property were so friendly, and not remotely put off by said cat! It was kind of adorable watching them suss each other out. No other campers, and far enough away from the house so was very private. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our weekend there. There was another group at the same time but the setup meant we couldn’t hear anything whatsoever.
Right by the river which was nice. Got a decent shower, thunder and lightening on the first night and the ground still held up absolutely fine. Lisa had some big tables and even a bbq available to use which was a lovely bonus.

We had a lovely time camping at Katie’s property.
Katie and her family were very accommodating and our kids loved playing together on the equipment and helping feed the horses in the morning. It was a bonus having a shower and toilet at the property too.
For anyone looking for a safe place to stay with a great family atmosphere, this place is what you are looking for. Thank you Katie and her children for a great weekend.

We enjoyed our family camping trip at Pepper Tree! Our girls loved roaming the property and patting all the horses and our son was busy on his BMX. Nice and relaxing camping by the horses. Katie the host was very nice as were her family who our kids enjoyed playing and riding with. Thanks Katie!

We had a fantastic weekend at Honey Suckle Farm. The host Pete was great making sure we were well looked after. The property is stunning with plenty of places to explore. Incredible views of the surrounding area of Portland. I would highly recommend on staying. We will be back again soon. Thanks again for having us!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The hosts were so lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. We had the best few days here, so peaceful and spacious! The location was amazing, so close to Sydney and the blue mountains. Absolutely beautiful outlook, the property was so pretty! The grass campsite was great, no dirt was brought into the van. The kids had access to a playground, trampoline and cubby house. The hosts children were super friendly and took our girls around the property, they bathed a horse and went on the buggy around feeding the animals. I would 100% recommend this camp to anyone. It was absolutely beautiful, look no further, book in here!

Victoria is a welcoming and very friendly host and did everything to make sure we enjoyed our stay. It was exactly what we were looking for in a camp site, remote bush setting, mostly away from others. We could go exploring or just sit back and chill listening to the wind blow through the trees, the birds of many different varieties. We had hoped to see a bit more wildlife but it wasn't our time to see any.
We will be coming back again, kids loved it, dog was in scent heaven. We made so many family memories, highly recommended.

If you want to feel like you have your own little piece of the Earth for a while, it's definitely worth a stay. It was everything that we wanted in a camping spot. We wanted seclusion, peace, scenery and somewhere with that "special something", that's exactly what we got. We have tried a number of places that were nice, but always had their cons with their pros. I wouldnt change anything about Monastery of 11 strings. Our host, Victoria, was pleasant and polite, you can tell how much she cares for the land and loves to share her slice of heaven with fellow campers. We will definitely be returning, the only question now is - do you go back to Wirritjin workshop, that we loved so much? Or try a different site!

We had an incredible stay at Rainbow Tree campsite! 🌈 The spot itself is absolutely magical — surrounded by bushland, full of birds, and with plenty of firewood right around camp. There’s a great sturdy table for prepping meals, and we even managed to get one bar of reception to stream a bit of music under the stars 🎶
Victoria was amazing — so warm and helpful, and wonderful with the kids. She even brought us extra firewood and water during our stay, which made everything so easy and relaxed.
Our kids loved exploring the area, and the nearby Wombeyan Caves (about a 30-minute drive) were a huge hit — the caves and the creek are perfect for kids to splash in, especially on a hot day. 🪨💦
Couldn’t recommend this place enough for families looking for a peaceful nature escape. We’ll definitely be back! 🌿🔥

I had a wonderful experience at this campsite last week! The location was absolutely beautiful — surrounded by nature, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The facilities were clean and well-organized, making the stay very comfortable. I especially loved how family- and pet-friendly the atmosphere was, and how easy it was to relax and enjoy the scenery. It’s clear that the team truly cares about providing a great experience for visitors. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and can’t wait to come back again soon!

Great place for a camp. Plenty of space, great for hiking, mountain bikes, etc.
Great host, Victoria greeted us at the gate (lucky timing) and got to meet her dog Echo.
Highly recommend place to visit.

We had a great time camping at Shady Acres. Lisa was great and very helpful. There was plenty of space, and lots of firewood available which we really appreciated. The river was lovely for a swim. We loved the sounds of the birds in the morning.
The location was easy to find in the daylight but a little tricky to find at night time. We would definitely recommend!
