Always be cautious of lighting a camp fire not to close to fuel and or your vehicles or tent, the wind may change through the night. - We will have an ENVIRO TANK installed mid year for a drop point sewer - We only have 6 dams on the property with plenty of YABBIES if you grab some yabbies please throw in some pieces of meat and or frozen veggies to help them grow for the next time you visit. - There are a lot of Native wallabies on our property and many hares with in the bush land NO QUESTIONS ASKED RESTRICTIONS AND GUIDELINES - YOU MAY HAVE FIRE ARMS WITH YOU IF YOU ARE LICENCED AND PASSING THROUGH !! BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE IS THERE ANY SHOOTING ON THE PROPERTY AS THERE MAY BE MORE THEN 1 GROUP ON THE PROPERTY. - PICK UP ALL YOUR RUBBISH WHEN YOU LEAVE AND PUT IT IN BINS PROVIDED IN TOWN (5 MINS AWAY) there are piles of old rubbish in farm that we are cleaning up on a monthly basis which was left there from previous owners. Please treat the farm like it is your home.

Wildlife, particularly birdlife abounds with 83 species of birds identified in and around the wetlands. Walking along the wetland area is possible as are walks further afield to explore the cultural and gold mining heritage features set in a beautiful rural landscape. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all human waste with them on departure.

Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.
