We are using technology to create energy and resource efficient accommodation.
Our 2 bedroom spacious cottages are spread out on our 30ac Snow Gum Parklands. Each cottage is private with plenty of area to expand and relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hotplates and micro wave. There is a bath room with shower and toilet with another separate toilet and drying room.
We are only 2klm to the centre of town but it may as well be 100klm away as there is many native animals and flora and no neighbours.
We are located next to Jindabyne Airstrip. There are very few flights in and out of the airstrip which is a real novelty if you see an aircraft.
Our unique cottages are powered by solar power with no grid connect and use rain water that falls on site. All our linen is washed in spring water by on site solar power and dried by wind and sunlight which is a huge saving to the environment.
Our cottages are constructed using local granite so they can blend into the environment. The new cottages are built to be insulated from the Winter cold and the Summer heat. Double glazed and double insulated cottages which are orientated to make the use of the Sun where the hot summer Sun does not enter the cottages and in Winter the Sun flows in to keep the cottages warm.
In Winter with the use of a wood fired heater the cottages stay toasty warm and if not regulated properly can get quiet hot. Our Snow Gum woodland environment supports native birds and animals which come and go as they please.

We booked a powered site (#5) and stayed in our own campervan. The site itself was on a slope which made it a bit challenging to level off. They have bbq facilities, toilets and heated showers, laundry, dry room, family room with a bath, communal fire pits around the property and a boat ramp. They are dog friendly as well.
The lake is at 40% capacity at the moment and you can see how far the water had retreated. The views are amazing and it was lovely to learn a bit about the local history. Lots of great fishing spots as well as walking spots

From the drive down to the paddock where you move past rolling hills full of horses, birds and kangaroos to the open pasture and cattle of the field beyond the river, the entire experience is incredible. The site itself is gorgeous and secluded and is exactly as advertised on Hipcamps - they’ve actually been quite modest in their description! Bea was a magnificent host who provided detailed and clear instruction to make the process as seamless as possible. We loved our stay at Kallarroo and would definitely come back. I couldn’t recommend this stay highly enough!

Loved the powered campsite nice views had some shade as I requested as I have a swag, nice and quiet if that’s what you are looking for, host is very helpful and pleasant.

Secluded Kallarroo Camping was indeed secluded!!! Exactly what my partner and I were after - being able to book the site for ourselves was such a treat and we were blown away the minute we entered the paddock, the friendly horses on arrival, the sound of the creek flowing, the star gazing and echidnas! We were really able to spread out on the site and felt truly alone, the firepit set-up was great, will definitely be bringing some friends back with us next time. Make sure you follow and download the directions provided, there are a few cross roads but theres Kallaroo signs at each one so keep an eye out! The road to the stay was in good condition considering the rain over the last few days, but there is lots of wildlife, go slow and I wouldn't recommend driving in at dusk. An excellent stay, thankyou Bea for having us for a magical night!
