Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west. This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs. A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed. There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road. Phone reception is available at the cabin if you’re with Telstra. The property is 2WD accessible, but I recommend 4WD in wet weather No pets please.

Jandarra Farm offers a comfortable and peaceful camping experience on a working farm in the Gold Coast hinterland. Certified through Ecotourism Australia, Jandarra’s goal is to model and inspire responsible ecological stewardship and foster harmony and creativity to build a regenerative and abundant future. Unfortunately, camping will cease on the 24 December 2024 when the property will be prepared to handover to new owners. We welcome you to come stay before then. Jandarra means 'place of peace' and we honour this by having a maximum of 6 campers at a time. Guests can visit the rockpool, take a self-guided walk through the rainforest, book a sauna (see Extras), and enjoy a conversation around the campfire under the stars (BYO firewood or see Extras). Take a short, hot shower with a view of the hills, toilets and a camp kitchen (no microwave or fridge) inside a rustic barn with tables and chairs. Starlink is the newest additon to the farm though may not have coverage in the camping areas. Telstra has some coverage. The 135-acre farm in Tallebudgera Valley is home to cattle, chickens, worm farms and bee hives, plus local wildlife. Guests are invited to learn about regenerative agricultural practices such as how Jandarra is managing cattle to build soil biology and rebalance nature, using holistic management practices - moving the cattle every day using electric fences (to replace the predators) and small paddocks (26 of them actually). There are over 1200 communities globally diverting material from landfill and creating habits of reuse rather than single-use. Therefore, drumroll...please bring reusable rather than single-use (eg beeswax wraps instead of cling wrap, real containers rather than takeaway) and take home any rubbish (you won't find any bins except for the food scraps). ABOUT REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE Jandarra is the 40th property in Australia to undertake the Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) Process through the Savory Institute. There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks. You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau. Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife. This is a property for nature lovers. All of our loving animals have been rescued as a tiny baby or taken in when their owners could no longer care for them. Each site has a picnic table and a fire-pit and you can book a camp oven package if you would like to engage in some outdoor cooking. It's fun, relaxing and nothing beats a camp oven stew! Our community kitchen is a hub for get togethers and yarns, well equipped with a gas cooktop, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, a BBQ, fridge/freezer, and plenty of tables. There are fresh herbs and eggs when in plentiful supply. Please use the worm bin for all your kitchen scraps. We have an amazing composting loo but no showers yet. We are pet friendly however we do ask that you have your best friends on a leash AT ALL TIMES and please do not get too close to the alpacas, they are protectors and will become uneasy and distressed. We strongly believe in 'leaving no trace' so please be mindful of our animals, other happy campers and 'take only memories leave only footprints'. “The peach from can only be accessed heading north on the highway.
