The income generated from Hipcamp is used to continue to manage, maintain and regenerate the site.

Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Gerard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

On Gullibal land, Figtree Farm provides captivating vistas of Jalgumbin (Mt Lindesay) to the west and Lever's Plateau, a designated wilderness area of unlogged subtropical rainforest, to the north. This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a bespoke joinery workshop crafting designer furniture. While Figtree Farm has been a camping destination for family and friends for many years and now we're happy to extend this welcome to Hipcampers too. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Surrounded by pristine pine trees and natives. We are roughly 15 minutes from all 3 surrounding towns Kyogle, Casino and Lismore. We are also only an hour away from the beach for any day trips planned. Great spot to stop for the night on your trip or stay for a weekend and take in the peace and quiet. We are easy to pull into and can cater for all size vans. Roads are all freshly gravelled and well maintained to cater for 2wd access also. Toilet and Water provided but respect us by taking your own rubbish with you. Beautiful little stream with rapids and rock holes to keep yourself cool in summer. More than welcome to bring hiking shoes, mountain bikes to go explore. As long as you respect the farm rules and if the gate is shut you shut it behind you. No 4wding is permitted on the farm. 2023 HIPCAMP RUNNER- UP FOR BEST CABIN RENTAL IN AUSTRALIA We have converted a container into a tiny home overlooking our gardens. Relax and unwind by the outdoor fireplace by night while you enjoy the sunset views over the hills. We are close to shops, restaurants, cafes, beaches, creeks and parks. It is only a short drive to Pottsville town. There is plenty to see and do in the Northern Rivers. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you would like some recommendations. The container has been converted into a tiny livable space with sustainability and simplicity in mind. Features include a compost toilet, hot shower, air conditioner, toaster, stovetop kettle, fridge, daybed, queen size main bed (towels and linen are an added extra), small deck with an outdoor kitchen and bbq area. You may like to meet our pet goats or if visiting a farm is what you’re into we can recommend some great local farm tours within a 20 minute drive from here. Spa treatments, yoga, bushwalking and water activities are all close by. If you’re looking to experience the rural setting with the convenience of beaches and shops being close by then this is the place for you. This is a unique area in Pottsville and we look forward to hosting. 25 minutes to Gold Coast airport. 30minutes to Byron Bay. Our guests will also receive a complimentary welcome gift upon arrival. We will also plant one tree per booking. Complimentary firewood in June. Your privacy is important to us! The glass doors are tinted and reflective, plus curtains are available for more privacy. Sugar Beach Ranch is one of the most secluded treasures in the Northern Rivers, only 40 mins from Byron Bay NSW and within 30 mins to Ballina, Bangalow and surrounding scenic waterfalls. The property offers a two-bedroom bungalow and a secluded campsite for self-contained campers, in addition to our other variety of services including retreats, equine therapy, weddings and venue hire. Our property is surrounded by the crystal clear ocean, a beautiful rural outlook and rainforest walks. Sugar Beach Ranch offers you a private and picturesque beachfront experience. Simply put it's ‘Nature’s Playground’. Sugar Beach Ranch is a special place... a place of relaxation and reflection. We want guests to enjoy the break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Wake up to songs of native birds. Bring your own horse, guitar, or your writing book and loll away the hours nurturing your soul in paradise. All guests have shared access to the 15m resort-style magnesium pool and direct beach access from the property. We are a wildlife sanctuary and an operating farm with horses, chickens, ducks, pigeons and a peacock. There are dogs on the property to protect the chickens and other animals from predators, so please don’t bring any pets of your own. Enjoy Sugar Beach Ranch with your horse, bring them along for the holiday, and plenty of beach and trail rides. Paddock accommodation available. As we are located in the secluded and sleepy cane fields of South Ballina there is limited access to shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. The Burns Point Ferry is the best way to get to us, it runs from 5:30am until 12.30am daily, consistently running back and forth. An approx. 8min journey each way and costs $7.00 each way, payable by credit card only. So you can easily go into Ballina town for all shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. If the ferry isn't for you, you can drive to Ballina via Wardell on River Drive. The bungalow is located approx. 25m from the main residence, and the campsite is located approx. 300m from the main residence tucked away in the paddocks and forest. We are onsite and available if needed. Sugar Beach Ranch is an operating farm with staff onsite caring for animals and maintaining the grounds. From soaring cliff faces overlooking the river and the vast expanse at the southern end of the property, with platypus, to peaceful rapids and large swimming pools in the middle and a sandy beach at the northern end, the property really does have it all. There is great walking and mountain bike trails all over the property for your enjoyment. You can embrace the tranquility of nature, whether you’re gazing at the horses, fishing, swimming, or kayaking. Explore the hills on your mountain bike, or unwind by the campfire under the stars. For the equine enthusiasts, you can meet our herd and book a personalized horse riding or equine experience. If horses aren’t your thing, take advantage of the riverfront—swim, fish, or paddle in the refreshing waters while your friends ride. This is an experience like no other with the herd galloping along side the Troopie! Yeeehaaaa!! Meet and greet our herd of over 30 horses! Outdoor Adventure: Kayak, swim, fish, or bike—there’s plenty to do! Campfires & Stargazing: End your day by the fire, gazing at the stars above. Please note, we currently welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own toilet, shower, and drinking water. UPDATE: We do have 1 flush toilet available for all our guests on the property nearby the Homestead. Pets are welcome as long as they are well-behaved, and if your pet tends to chase livestock, they’ll need to be leashed. If the fire baths are your calling card, book Swan Lake. Our property is 2WD & 4WD accessible, with 4WD caravans and camper trailers welcome. We do have plenty of 2WD sites available as well. Tucked away in a tranquil, secluded valley, this hidden gem is surrounded by Long Creek to the south and Findon Creek to the west, while the northern edge extends to the breathtaking Border Ranges National Park. On Gullibal land, Figtree Farm provides captivating vistas of Jalgumbin (Mt Lindesay) to the west and Lever's Plateau, a designated wilderness area of unlogged subtropical rainforest, to the north. This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a bespoke joinery workshop crafting designer furniture. While Figtree Farm has been a camping destination for family and friends for many years and now we're happy to extend this welcome to Hipcampers too. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.
