*****THE DREAMCATCHER FARM OBJECTIVE:
This is a relaxing camp-style Farm site of 50 acres of farmland; for those looking for a break away from the city and wanting to safely enjoy some time embracing the peace and tranquility of the outdoors, nature and or, animals and creating some nice memories away together.
*****This Farm property site is ideal for Camping Families, Small Groups and or, Scouting Groups.
Or
Other groups such as Film Producers and or Workshop Hosts, or for those people wanting to host a small Community Event with live Musicians and or pop-up-shop stalls. However, additional costs occur for these groups.
*****Each group is to please be responsible for conducting their own Risk Assessments.
*****Situated away in a peaceful; quiet location, with a few dirt roads leading up to the entrance of the farm... this location is approximately a 3-hour drive from the Sydney CBD, and a 1 hour and 50-minute drive from Canberra Central and, a 30 to 40 minute drive to the closest local town of Crookwell in NSW.
*****THIS FARM OFFERS GUESTS THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:
1. CAMPING SPACE:
1.a.
Plenty of camping space by way of segregated paddocks for use by people and for housing a few farm animals.
1.b.
Until further notice, camping sites are your chosen area of space upon arrival but please be mindful of other campers’ space perimeters also, so kindly allow reasonable space between your camp area and other groups already camping.
1.c.
The ground is level in some areas and not level in other areas, so you’ll need to look around for a spot suitable to you, you are welcome to level out the ground also if you prefer to.
2. ANIMALS ON THIS FARM:
2.a.
We have a few farm animals including horses, lamas, sheep, chickens and dogs and cats. And there is also the additional wild life animals.
2.b.
You are welcome to take photos with the Farm animals.
2.c.
You are welcome to buy fresh eggs (laid by the Farm Hens) if the eggs are available at the time.
2.d.
Feeding some of the Farm animals is allowed / permitted as noted below:
Horses – you can feed the Horses: carrots, apples and or, lettuce.
Lamas – you can feed the Lamas: our food-pellets.
These can be purchased from the Farm Manager Caretaker (Billy) $1 per packet.
Sheep – you can feed the sheep: our food-pellets.
These can be purchased from the Farm Manager Caretaker (Billy) $1 per packet.
Chickens – you can feed the Chickens: natural food scraps such as left over salads and vegetables, rice, pasta and plain bread.
2.e.
Dogs - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Dogs – please do not feed the Dogs, the Dogs are on a strict diet.
2.f.
Cats - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Cats – please do not feed the Cats, the Cats are on a strict diet.
2.g.
Wild-life animals - Politely you are NOT allowed / NOT permitted to feed the Wild-life animals – please do not feed the Wild-life animals because they will later become dependable on humans feeding them and then not able to properly fend for themselves.
2.h.
Hunting and or hurting of ANY animal is strictly prohibited / NOT allowed / NOT permitted on this Farm property and or from or on any of the surrounding areas of the Farm property.
2.i.
You are welcome to bring your family pet dog however, please ensure the safety of your pet dog and, please ensure your pet dog/s will not get involved in any animal fights and please ensure your per dog is friendly to people.
3. TOILET AND SHOWER:
3.a
One Shack/Cabin referred to as the Slanty-Shanty which provides all Guests access to a toilet and a shower.
3.b.
There is one separate toilet behind the BBQ area.
3.c.
One house referred to as the ‘Barn’ which provides Guests access to an emergency toilet and shower however, we politely ask you limit your time in this house/barn to emergency toilet use only.
3.d.
We will be installing more guest toilets and showers in the future.
Please feel welcome to bring a portable camping toilet if you wish to do so.
4. POWER SUPPLY:
4.a
We have an off-grid property meaning; this property has a solar-power supply however, there is also a back-up power supply from a generator.
4.b.
It is therefore suggested that you plan ahead to have your showers or your hot water usage during daylight.
5. WI-FI AND CELLULAR MOBILE TELEPHONE RECEPTION:
5.a.
There is cellular reception accessible only at certain areas of the farm such as; the BBQ area, the Barn (house) area.
5.b.
Please be mindful there is no cellular mobile phone reception in the other areas of the farm.
6. BBQ BARBEQUE:
6.a.
There is one BBQ barbeque area with one barbeque facility and three tables and some chairs.
Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions.
6.b.
This barbeque area is outdoors on a concrete slab and has an undercover style roof.
7. CAMP FIRE PIT - COMMUNAL:
7.a.
There is one big communal camp-fire-pit which is great to sit around and roast marshmallows whilst singing camp songs or having a yarn amongst yourselves whilst observing the night sky and or observing the surrounding natural landscapes.
Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions.
7.b.
Wood for the campfire can be collected from around the property, feel welcome to walk around and collect the wood.
7.c.
A saw can be provided to borrow, for you to cut your own campfire wood.
7.d.
Fire extinguishers are available on site but please feel welcome to also bring your own.
7.e.
Please adhere to local fire restrictions and guidelines.
8. PORTABLE CAMP-FIRE-PITS FOR SMALLER GROUPS ARE AVAILABLE:
8.a.
These can be picked up upon request, at the BBQ area and returned to the BBQ area upon departure.
Please ensure you read the most up to date local NSW Rural Fire warnings/restrictions for the Crookwell / Laggan NSW area and please ensure you comply with all current NSW Rural Fire Restrictions.
8.b.
Likewise, wood for the portable campfire-pits can be collected from around the property by each guest.
8.c.
Likewise, a saw can be provided to borrow, for you to cut your own campfire wood.
8.d.
Fire extinguishers are available on site but please feel welcome to also bring your own.
8.e.
Please adhere to local fire restrictions and guidelines.
9. TWO NATURAL SPRING-FED-WATER DAMS:
9.a.
These dams are lovely to adventure around however they do suddenly deepen so please ensure you have knowledge of and, adhere to general water-safety.
We advise not to swim in the dam or waterholes as we do not provide swim supervision nor swim safety signs - we ask that you please do not swim in the dams / water holes on the property and that you ensure the safety of yourself and any children with you with regards to water.
9.b.
There is also one dry creek which does fill with rainwater.
10. WATER TANKS WITH NATURAL RAIN-WATER:
10a.
The tank water on this Farm property is suitable for drinking however, please be mindful of any Contrary Indications you may have depending on your own health restrictions and or requirements.
11. TREES, NATURAL TERRAIN AND, RURAL FARMLAND:
11.a.
There is lovely farmland country style natural landscape, perfect for enjoying nature through walking and or photography and painting and safe activities.
11.b.
Whilst enjoying the grassy areas prepped with trees please be mindful of falling branches and please conduct your own Risk Assessments according to your own schedule of activities.
12. FEW DIRT ROADS AND FEW GRAVEL ROADS / OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE:
12.a.
Please ensure your vehicle does not travel over a 10km speed limit whilst on the property.
12.b.
There is approximately two to three kilometers of unsealed / dirt road just before you reach the entrance of the Farm.
The main camp area is 2WD accessible, and the back part of the property is for 4WD access only. Please message me if unsure.
12.c.
Please keep an eye out for any road potholes (if any at all).
13. ON-SITE EXTRAS WHICH INCUR ADDITIONAL COSTS:
These extras incur additional costs and costs are subject to change depending on economic influxes.
These will need to be booked 3 weeks prior or, booked as per the agreement in prior correspondence for example if agreed that you can book on the day.

We can make ourselves available to show you or your group around on local excursions and to local eats so you can also enjoy the local area. Please book in advance by contacting us to make these arrangements.

For those people wanting to host a small community event with live musicians and or pop-up stalls.
14. IN FUTURE WE WILL HAVE A GIFT SHOP:
14.a.
In future a small Gift Shop will be established, and some Farm Merchandise will be made available for purchase.
We will advertise when this is established.

This farm about a 25-to-30-minute drive to the local town if you require shops or medical facilities or other activities such as:

It gets very cold at night on the Farm so we recommend that you bring extra warm clothing and bedding / blankets or sleeping bags for night time.
During the day sometimes sneaker shoes can get bogged in muddy spots so gumboots or hiking boots are recommended and safe for walking around in.
17. SIGNS:
17.a.
There are currently no signs erected on the property.
17.b.
However, there will be signs erected in the near future which will then, further assist with directions and navigation around the Farm.
Until then please refer to the brochure/map.

First Aid Kit is available for emergencies only, so we suggest you also bring your own First Aid Kits.
