Once an active limestone quarry. Hollowed out for accessibility and stone extraction. #CompoundHistoricNaturePreserve #CompoundCampGrounds
10 miles from historic Harper's Ferry and Antietam Battlefield. Close to Hollywood casinoes and horseracing a few minutes to hiking and biking trails. Just a few minutes drive to cherry, apple, and peach orchards.
Awesome site!! Gorgeous location, nice and peaceful, and extremely scenic. Decent cell service, friendly host, couldn’t ask for more! I will definitely be back.
Terry was so welcoming and friendly! He gave a great history of the land. The campsite felt remote and we were really able to appreciate its natural beauty. We were able to see so many stars and the moonlight filled up the quarry at night. We definitely want to come back again!
Terry was awesome. Very pleasant, explained the rules. Very nice guy.
