First of all, the price is right, and the location is good for me (between my grandsons' colleges), so I will stay here again. I was dumb to bring my big tent, (but the ground was comfy); next time I'll bring my two-man tent. The composting toilet was fine until the other campers showed up; they were a bit toasted and it was nearly dark so perhaps they weren't aware of the wood shavings.
My main problem was the fairy lights above the lean-tos. The other campers left theirs one while they slept, IN THE OCCASIONALLY BLINKING MODE, which was startling, and looked like car headlights. I finally realized they weren't up enjoying them, so turned them off myself. It's the kind that has a button you push nine times for the full cycle.
Next problem was the gate. It's a tough one to open and close. And you have to open it every time you drive out.
But like I said, I will stay here again! Would be really fun to stay with a big group, too.

beautiful bamboo
Such a lovely experience, we were lucky to be the only campers. We are truly grateful for the bamboo forest! So relaxing and restorative. Thank you!

We loved tent camping at Nate's Hipcamp. The outdoor kitchen space, tent platforms, and bamboo forest made this a really special place!

Haunted bamboo forest!
The camping area was clean. There were two covered platforms to set up a tent but my tent was a tiny bit tall so I moved it to the ground. I was the only one camping there. It was difficult to find the entrance off the main road. I turned into the wrong entrance (where the mailboxes are located). I had to call the host to help get me to the right spot. The entrance is only marked with a small sign with a faded tent painted on it. The bamboo was creeky. I wouldn’t mind staying here with other people.

Portal to a Bamboo World!
What an interesting find! A bamboo forest in the middle of Oregon, who would’ve thought! Although the arrival was a little confusing, the host was prompt in helping us find our way, and once we arrived at the site, we were pleasantly surprised by the dense bamboo growth and the thoughtful campsite offerings.
Loved the bathroom, the wooden structures, and the outdoor kitchen. The provision box was a helpful addition, with games, tp, a journal, and basic cooking items. There were so many different seating areas, it was hard to choose where to hang out! The sink was clean and wonderful, and made cooking and cleaning such a breeze.
Our only regret is that we didn’t come prepared with a recipe to cook in the wood fired oven.
Come here prepared to explore! The bamboo forest really is a natural playground.
