Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

I loved camping by the river and having a swim first thing in the morning. The host was nice and helpful and came down to say hello. Great place to stay.

Good for wheelchair user.
Very pretty spot. Well maintained camp sites. Acceptable for electric wheelchair/scooter campers. BYO portapotty and privacy screens. Lots of places to visit in area. Wayne was very kind and helpful. Resident horses and cows are friendly. River too fast to swim for us but our shepherd dog loved it. Pool down the road in Tumut was our preferred swimming alternative. Sweet little country pool.

Great riverside stay
We've stayed quite a few times at this camp and enjoyed every stay. Close to town, but far enough away to enjoy the great outdoors. Wayne is a great host and an all round good bloke. The riverside camp is a mix of shady or full sun campsites, your choice. You won't be disappointed.

Great spot by the river
This is a great spot and Wayne was a very friendly host. Highly recommend. Bring your crocs for jumping in the river!! Close to town and caravan resources (dump point and water)

This was a lovely shady spot to camp by the water and the cows and calves wandering past en route to a drink at the river were a highlight. Lots of beautiful birds and the trees are huge! Clear directions, and close to town for any forgotten essentials or dinner out.

Second time staying there and it was so lovely again. The river was nice and chilly and the atmosphere and area are just beautiful.
