Camp Nepenthe
Pleasant, wooded spot perched above the road in a quiet coastal neighborhood. Easy to find and access. Tent camped for a couple nights successfully with a baby and 2 year old. Enjoyed fires and the sounds of the sea in the distance.

Camp Nepenthe
Semi-secluded access to the region
I tent camped here with my dogs. The campsite is nestled in the woods, giving a somewhat secluded feel, even with houses within sight and hearing distance. One night, a loud party in the nearby cove that lasted until the early morning hours— not a relaxing experience, but definitely beyond the host’s control. The second night, a Sunday, was quiet and very peaceful.
As others have noted, there’s a road below the camp. While the noise wasn’t bad at all, there were people walking and driving by and you and your campsite are visible to passersby. I was able to position my tent and vehicle so that I mostly was out of view, so It wasn’t a big issue. But if you’re seeking seclusion, this might not be the spot.
The location offers great access to many beautiful areas in the region, including a short walk to tidal mud flats and the Atlantic Ocean. Just be aware that driving and parking there may be tough due to private property and limited parking.
The host was quick to respond to any questions, and the campsite was easy to access and set up. The site itself was level and included a picnic table and a fire ring positioned slightly below your campsite. The fire ring was surrounded by a concrete wall about three feet away, with a small wooden ledge to sit on. Depending on how hot the fire was, you could sit in the wall around the fire pit, otherwise you have to position your camp chairs on the plateau above it near your camp.
