Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Wilson State Park KS adventure.
Discover the rugged beauty of Wilson State Park and its array of outdoor activities.
If you've got a boat, we've found your second home at Wilson State Park. With a full-service marina and nearby bait and tackle shop, all you need is that fishing pole buried deep in storage. Once you've grilled up some of that striped bass, hang out in the (deceptively named) Hell Creek Area, and make sure to stop by the scenic byway, where cliff sides and rugged shorelines will surely call your name. Don't forget to grab your bike rack too, as 25 miles of trails on the Switchgrass Bike Trail provide the perfect opportunity to snap shots of the wildlife along the creeks and rivers. With an 8,000-acre hunting area nearby, we have a feeling you won't be short on food when you come here.
The best time to visit Wilson State Park KS is during the spring and fall when the weather is mild and the natural scenery is at its most vibrant. Summer offers full access to all park activities but can be quite hot. Winters are off-season with reduced fees, but some facilities may be closed.
