Over the years, this town has attracted artists, musicians, writers and wine lovers from all over the world in search for inspiration. Here, you can explore Mendocino County's exquisite wineries, enjoy restaurants, coastal landscapes, beaches , redwoods, pygmy forests. The list goes on and on for recreational activities. Sunnyland is a VERY REMOTE AND RURAL location. Beautiful redwood grove campsites. Hiking trails all over the property, hundreds of different wild mushrooms. Bird watching too! We have two very friendly Great Pyrenees, 2 cats, 6 ducks and 10 chickens. Fresh farm eggs available. These animals are all located near the house, and not near the campsites. Directions: Please contact me for specific instructions on how to get here ahead of your arrival time. Feel free to reach out the day before for directions also. If you are coming from Ukiah, reach out to me there. Or if coming from the coast please reach out to me from Mendocino area since service is very unreliable shortly after both of those towns. Please check in before dark or contact me before for detailed directions. Kids are absolutely welcome. CELL SERVICE IS SPOTTY. Wifi is available here up at the main house if needed. Water is available at the main house or gardens. Campsites are private.

This was a great campsite! Beautiful view over forested mountains. Sunny was a terrific host! The dogs were super-friendly -- they love to hang out with you, even in the middle of the night, but when you don't want to engage with them, they are totally okay and leave you alone when you need your space. We loved this campsite.

Orchard Camp

We stayed at Orchard Camp in Sunnyland for a couple of nights at the end of summer, and it was very enjoyable. The kids had a blast, the dogs were very friendly, and the wood stove was great to cook on. Potable water is right there, there's a handy table under a canopy for shade, and the bathroom isn't far away. The night skies are amazing, and just up the hill at the top of the orchard, there's great view of the valley - it was lovely seeing the early morning sun hit the low-lying fog.

Fauna & Flora Group Camping Welcome

Sunny and her land were absolutely great! Her directions were clear and her two dogs were very sweet as well. Very serene spot among the trees with good shade most of the day and flat areas for tent set up. There were only two of us but there would have been plenty of room for more to join us.

Redwood Forest area

Beautiful Private Camp

I had a wonderful time camping at Sunnyland. Sunny was so friendly and helpful. She provided great directions for getting there, and came to greet me right when I arrived. I don’t have 4wd, so I parked closer to the main house and walked my stuff in to the Redwood Forest Area site using a wagon. There are a couple short steep hills that made it a bit of a workout, but it was doable. Sunny also has a Quad she can use to help if needed. The site was nice and private, with a hose from the nearby spring with water, and a large fire pit with a grate for cooking. Plenty of wood to forage from (may be a good idea to bring an axe to cut some branches down to size). There is no table at the site, so I made sure to bring something for a cooking/eating surface. Sunny’s (very friendly) dogs stopped by a few times to say hello, and it was nice to know they were on the property. The property has some beautiful views along the walk to the site and amazing stargazing. Overall great place to camp. :)

Beautiful campsite & lovely people

We loved camping at Sunny's! The site is beautiful, an amazing place to watch the stars in front of a campfire! Sunny is so kind and made us feel at home. Her boys are a lot of fun, and were super helpful, polite and so funny! The dogs were great too! Wish we had stayed for longer :)
