Our family has loved living on this property for almost 23 years now! Some of the things we appreciate about this land are the beautiful mountain views, the quiet peaceful setting, and the close proximity to all the things we love to do in the outdoors like lakes, rivers, hiking, fishing, camping, skiing...not to forget Mesa Verde National Park, Four Corners Monument, Mancos State Park, Durango, Telluride, and Cortez. Learn more about this land: Our Mountain View Glamping Getaway is the perfect place for anyone looking for stunning mountain views, a comfortable bed, a quiet county setting, and some "fancy camping." This place serves as a great basecamp for all sorts of fun with Mesa Verde National Park, the Four Corners National Monument, Durango, and Telluride all not far away! This cozy getaway comes with all the essentials like a big comfy bed, interior and exterior solar lighting, indoor table and chairs, games, nightstand, storage areas for your things, dresser/washing station, hand towels, outdoor seating, outdoor picnic table, outdoor shower, and a fan.  If you need more than one bed's worth of campers, no worries!  We also have two cots, sleeping bags, and pillows stored under the bed for you to set up and use indoors or even outdoors for sleeping under the stars! It's a comfy connection to living life outdoors where nature still happens, so enjoy a few bugs, the sounds of critters from cows to coyotes, or waking up to a deer in your front yard.  If you don't opt to go outside, the tent may chase you there as it heats up in the middle of hot days then welcomes you back for the cool evenings and overnight. While there's no indoor plumbing, you'll have to go meet "John," our clean but simple porta-potty a short walk away (50 feet) across the pasture and past the large garden. Right next to that is the new shower with hot water available to our glampers!

      Mountain View Glamping Getaway
      Perfect little tent on the prairie
      We chose this lovely tent on our recent trip to CO with our teenage son. Our son slept on the provided cot. Even though this was camping we really had all the amenities we needed. We cooked at the campsite for breakfast and dinner on the camp stove. Shower was hot. Woke up in the morning to deer grazing out in front of the tent. Would definitely stay again. Scot and Brooke were great and answered any question we had in a timely manner.

      Mountain View Glamping Getaway
      We had a fantastic night's sleep in Scot & Brooke's tent! It felt spacious and clean, and the attention to detail in the decor and design made us feel we had everything we needed. The welcome binder offered some tips and they conveyed the information with warmth. The portable bathroom was very clean, and we didn't need the shower but it also looked clean and easy to use. We had our breakfast on the porch and headed out to Mesa Verde NP having had a peaceful start to our day-- highly recommended!

      great communication before and during our stay. beautiful, peaceful spot. good space for our family of four (two adults, two kids). amazing starry skies and adorable pond and deck. nice location for our trip to mesa verde. would definitely stay again if in the area!

      Mountain View Glamping Getaway
      Peaceful night under the stars!
      We arrived late at night, but the property was easy to find, and we had a great time! Despite being the height of summer, it was very cool (and a little cold!). We were a party of two. I brought and slept on a twin air mattress which fit very nicely in the tent, alongside the bed. We also found extra cots under the bed, so bringing our own wasn't absolutely necessary. There was a picnic table next to the tent, so we had a late dinner while looking at the stars. It's located on a grassy meadow and super peaceful and quiet. There were plenty of extra blankets too. We didn't get to stay as long as we would have liked since we needed to leave very early the next morning. Scot greeted us early in the morning as we were packing to leave, and we were able to get help from him to pull out a necklace that had dropped between the slats! Scot immediately got us a wire and we were able to retrieve the necklace before we had to leave.

      Mountain View Glamping Getaway
      This was a great experience. The tent is roomy, positioned for a sense of privacy, and great views of the mountains and wildlife. Scott and Brooke have thought of lots of little amenities to make the stay comfortable. A perfect place for exploring Mesa Verde NP! Highly recommend this stay! Oh, and check out Mancos Brewery!

      Mountain View Glamping Getaway
      Beautiful property and great hosts!
      We enjoyed our time on Scot and Brooke's property. Check-in was very easy. Directions on getting there and instructions for the site were very clear. When we arrived we noticed some things had been missed by the cleaning person and I had messaged Scot and Brooke to ask if we could have them brought to us. They were very apologetic and said the cleaning person had an urgent issue and was unable to completely finish setting up. Scot came by and brought us what we needed and even tidied up a bit more. The vault toilet was very clean and even in the hottest parts of the day had no odor at all. The shower was a very nice touch, especially after a long hike! It did get a bit too hot but that's preferable to too cold! Brooke offered to bring fresh made lattes Sun morning but, sadly, we had a late morning and missed it. They were great hosts and we hope to come back and stay again in the future. The property was absolutely beautiful with lots of deer roming around throughout the day.
