Tent camping with views!
We absolutely loved our stay on Michael's property! The location is remote and private, the views are amazing, and the stargazing at night is unbelievable. My partner and I definitely will return, and would recommend this site to all.

Tent camping with views!
Quiet and wide open country
Quiet, private bliss with a sweeping view. The road up is certainly a 4WD type, although Michael was nice enough to get our car up to the site.

Tent camping with views!
Michael’s property is idyllic — above and beyond what I could have asked for. Michael was there when we needed him, but knew that our goal was privacy. All around pleasure.
Camping with Herbert- the alpaca
Quiet & Peaceful
The alpacas were cute, there are lots of animals.
It's not too far from the road but the road is fairly quiet, not a car goes down it all night.
We kept hearing the sounds of animals stomping around in the leaves in the woods. I like to sleep under the sky (no tent) and I woke up in the middle of the night, turned my headlamp on and saw some large predator which I still haven't identified... Ended up sleeping in the car.
That said that's got nothing to do with the quality of this place. Overall it felt well-loved and tended to and safe.

Camping with Herbert- the alpaca
We miss Herbert!
We very much enjoyed staying with Herbert and his comical group of Alpaca moms! Mike was a great host- he met us when we got there to show us around and introduce us to the alpacas, showing us the giant tub of feed we could offer them whenever we wanted! We had a lot of fun getting to know them and their other critters (chickens and cats!). The drive to get there was beautiful and the area was clean and had plenty of flat land to pitch a tent on-we pitched ours under the stars, which made for beautiful nights rest. The area is wonderful- CA central coast wine country with never-ending views, wine, and beaches a short drive away. A few notes- there is no service (with ATT at least) and it's a bit of a long country drive to get to service, no bathroom (as detailed in the ad) and you had to get creative/go on a short hike to find private space to use for one as the pasture is next to their home. However, despite these couple minor drawbacks, we would gladly stay here again.

Camping with Herbert- the alpaca
The property is beautiful! Mike was super kind accommodating and informative. My 3 1/2 year old daughter ran around while all the animals(alpaca, chickens, dogs and cats) flocked behind her. She was literally in heaven. The little creek that runs through the property has tons of little frogs in it. We would definitely stay here again. Maybe stay at the other site he offers, we drove up there and the view is INCREDIBLE!
