Description
Sage Flat Campground is a great spot to spend a week (or two!) soaking up some good old fashioned camping vibes in Inyo Forest. While you’re at it, bring along the whole family! With shaded campsites, a nearby creek, and forests teeming with wildlife, we’re sure that Sage Flat will please even the pickiest of campers. Looking to explore the nearby John Muir forest or alpine lakes? How about the epic Palisade Glacier? Sage Flat Campground is just a stones throw away from Glacier Pack Train, which will take you further into the wild—all on horseback.

We went on a busy weekend so this was a great alternative to the already full Big Pine and other campgrounds. it was also quieter. The bathrooms were extremely dirty but this could have been because it was a busy weekend. We loved how it was close to some incredible hikes but not crazy about the campground itself.
