We bought this property in 2021. We have always wanted to have acreage land to call our own, but in LA it's just really very expensive to do so. I personally did not like having a desert land, since I love having plants and fruit trees. But when we saw this property, we fell in love with it! It's not your typical flat desert landscape as it is basically at the foot of Adobe Mountain! There is a cute cabin built by the previous owners and almost 40 acres to roam free! After a few months of enjoying it all to ourselves, we felt like we needed to share this gift with others. And so our Hipcamp Host story begins. Learn more about this land: Mountain desert landscape that is unique to the area! We have almost 40 acres of property but we are limiting the campsites to only 1 primitive site for our guests' utmost privacy and enjoyment.  You will be surrounded by the Adobe Mountain on one side and the stretching views of the desert on the other. Have meals on one of the picnic tables available on site amidst the giant boulders. Climb the trails to go further up the mountain and enjoy the star-filled nights! Explore our piece of desert sanctuary to your heart's content!  Apart from enjoying your commune with nature, please respect the wildlife and take your rubbish with you. You may find roadrunners, jackrabbits, lizards, and if you are lucky, desert tortoises might say hi to you (please do not touch them).

Secluded and beautiful!
My friends took me to Adobe Boondocks for my first camping trip in decades. LOVED IT. I just went back again. The spot is relatively easy to get to from LA (without traffic) and feels even more secluded than it is. From a big chunk of the property, you can't see any roads or structures, and the only sound is the occasional dog bark, distant vehicle, or passing airplane. It feels incredibly private. Lots of boulders and a few rocky hills to climb with great views. Every sunrise and sunset was gorgeous. Bryan is also super responsive. Two tips. 1. It can get windy and chilly (I visited in October and November), so pack appropriately. 2. Because of the cool geography, much of the ground in the campsite closest to the entrance is pretty rocky. So test out your tent stakes before choosing a spot. They only go a few inches in some places. Will be back!

Great times w/ the family and kids
My family of 4 and our friend and his two kids spent the night here and we had a great time. The kids entertained themselves climbing on the boulders and had so much fun. Our pup had lots of room to roam around as well. In the morning I took the kids on a hike up the hill on the property and we all just had the best time. Thank you!

Vibes all around
Bryan’s property was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. We lucked out being the only ones booked and having acres to roam. Easily accessible, clean, private, open…. overall great place to just relax.

Fun bouldering spot not far from LA
This was a really fun place to go camping. Luckily, it’s only 45 minutes outside of Landcaster and was a nice drive out. Directions from Bryan were great and coming up on the site it was hidden/tucked away into the hills giving a nice sense of privacy. There was wind the first night which obviously drops the temperature, but having the fire site nearby was a great way of keeping warm. The two campsites are located within audible distance from each other if that’s important to you. It was nice having the whole place to ourselves, since the upper site on the hill is visible to the entire property. It was such a beautiful place to watch sunsets and relax. I am definitely going back and seeing more of the property next time.

Bryan was a great host. Quick and easy communication. The property was really beautiful… amazing for sunset. We stayed at the Canto site …definitely recommend. The drive up into the site has some rocky spots so bring a car with decent ground clearance and you should be ok. But 4wd will give ya more confidence, which I would recommend if you plan on arriving after dark. Very cool spot. Even had cell phone signal in many spots (if you want that haha). Ground is pretty rocky so definitely bring a sleeping pad or air mattress if ya can…will ensure a good night sleep. Also, really solid fire pit at the canto site. There are some critters at night but par for the course out there… just close up your tent after dark like you should anyway and you’ll be fine. Thanks again, Bryan!
