Come to Road Apple Acres to escape the constant noise and hustle of city living, and have a truly relaxing and peaceful camping experience with beautiful country views and the solace of large spaced-out sites where you feel like you are the only ones there. We are a family-friendly and pet-friendly campground nestled in 160 acres of pristine pastures, meadows, and forests with gentle farm animals on site and well-maintained hiking trails. As a bonus, we feature acoustic music campfire jams by local and touring musicians and the yet undiscovered gems. Add the acoustic jam session experience to your stay if you're interested, and we'll arrange for live music most Friday and Saturday evenings. Special musical events TBA. For camping we have available: For camping we have available: + Large tent sites with picnic table and fire pit - Flush toilet is down in the barn/office - Potable water is accessible down at the barn/office + Limited RV sites (unserviced) + A twenty-eight-foot travel trailer (functioning electricity only) + No tent? We have some to rent as an add-on MEET OUR FURRED AND FEATHERED FRIENDS: 'Friendly' will show you why Clydesdales are called 'The Gentle Giants'; his brother 'Victor' is somewhat more aloof unless you have oats! Ace and Stretch, the normal-sized boys are two of the nicest equine lawn ornaments you'll ever meet. For those a bit unsure of the large equines and for toddlers, we have our little herd of Miniature Horses: Gemma, Big Red and Lambchop who can't get enough TLC and horse crumbles. The canine cadre consists of Molly the Border Collie who'll chase sticks and balls all day long, Daisy, the Marema princess, and Blue, our new Bernese Mountain Dog. All are friendlier than a basket full of kittens. And speaking of cats, Daniel and Henrick, the red point, blue-eyed feline barn brothers handle rodent control and human interaction with equal intensity. For non-cat lovers, they know what "Psssst!" means. All Alberta Health Service protocols followed.

Road Apple Acres - peaceful camping
The owner is super nice and helpful if you need anything, the campsites are private and decently large, it’s a steep walk/ drive up to the camp sites but not horrible, the owner supplied us with a small tent with a portable toilet for the weekend as well, great place for weekend or summer camping.

Great Music and Private Camp Space
Great experience. The lots are very private. Mike was wonderful and led us to our spot. They provided water and a portable toilet. Played music in the beautiful barn at night. Note that Google Maps is wrong - follow the directions Ernie sends (or there is a mobile vet clinic next door, so putting that into my Google maps worked). Wonderful place if you’re looking for a private place to camp and some great tunes.

Road Apple Acres - peaceful camping
Like camping in alpine meadow with flowers and fruit everywhere. So green and peaceful. Not one sound of city noise at anytime. Ernie and Mike are so attentive to there client's. They brought me a tent with a porta potty inside. They brought well water to clean dishes in a container with a tap. At first I thought a little pricey but after you've been there it's well worth it. They also encourage if you play an instrument to bring it and jam with them down at the barn. I highly recommend.

Lovely views, very peaceful
Overall a great experience. Only complaint is that there were no real washroom facilities, just a compost toilet. There is a proper toilet in the barn, but that is a 5 minute drive away. The views were lovely, campsite on grass so easy to put up tent, lots of wild raspberries available to munch on. And Mike was very helpful and checked on us a few times.

Camping with 2 under 3
We loved tent camping here! The views are spectacular and it's so peaceful and quiet. The camp sites are do far apart it feels like you're in your own little out door oasis. The kids loved the animals and we so enjoyed listening to the guitar around the campfire. Both hosts were so friendly and accommodating and we absolutely loved every minute of our stay here. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone e looking for a camping spot!
