Breathtaking Waterfall & Campsite
CAMP HERE!!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT.
This was an absolutely stunning location to camp. My dogs, Ellie, Jordanna, and I loved every minute of it! The weather was perfect and I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Our tent was right near the water so falling asleep to the stream at night was so peaceful! Scottie had a shed with some camping gear and a nice clean toilet tent set up for us. The waterfall on the property was stunning and I will absolutely be back to camp here!!! You certainly need a 4WD or AWD vehicle to get down to the site as the descent-ascent is a little steep but it’s worth it. There is very little cell service down at the site but a short trek up the hill and you’ll get some signal. A perfect getaway. We will be back! Thank you!

New Favorite Spot
The land and campsite were even better than anticipated. Great spots for tents and even with one other couple there, we still felt like we had plenty of privacy and space. We spent time at nearby Big South Fork (highly recommend the Twin Arches hike) and Pickett Memorial State Park. You will definitely want a 4wd vehicle (we used our awd Dodge Durango) to unload to the campsite and/or coordinate with host in advance to help or haul the gear yourself down/up the short but kind of steep hill.
There was a huge stack of firewood when we arrived, and the lights make it such a magical setting. This was one of our favorite hipcamps to date. Thank you for sharing your space, Scottie!

Breathtaking Waterfall & Campsite
I loved tent camping on Scottie's land! There were plenty of fire rings for many campers/groups, but maybe not ten sites just for space and distance/privacy. There were two tables, a large hanging tarp overhead, beautiful lights, and a babbling creek that could be heard no matter where you camped. Extra wood was under a tarp and a bathroom with a privacy tent was on the far end of the land. Very well kept, too. I didn't chance taking my car down to the sites (2WD Nissan Xterra), but the walk down wasn't far at all. If you walk down to the sites, stay to the right and you will find the waterfall. Absolutely gorgeous. Next time we are going to stay for several nights and enjoy. Northup Falls Trail is a 1.5 mile loop trail about 10 minutes driving distance away and absolutely stunning if you are wanting another nearby hike. Scottie was super personable, too!
