We have an absolutely gorgeous 12 acres of mostly wooded and/or lakefront land on the West end of Lake Murray (Saluda River). As of 2023, we have 3 campsites and three cabins for visitors. We (me, my wife, and three kids) run this as our primary business and LOVE nature lovers and those seeking respite from their busy lives... It's NOT a place for loud parties--we are on Lake Murray behind the only super LOW bridge, which means there's virtually no boat traffic or noise back here. If you want to refresh, recharge or spend quality time with family or friends, we'd love to host you. *the low bridge also means if you bring a large boat you may need to use the marina or any of the free boat launches within a mile of our site... kayaks, canoes, john boats all fit under. :-)

We had a wonderful weekend with the kids camping on Jesse's land. The place is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing all the wildlife and listening to the owls at night. Would definitely recommend camping here. 😊

The Tree House On The Lake
Tenting with a built-in "plan B"
I loved camping on Jesse's land! We were greeted by the host on our arrival; to a peaceful, water accessible property with use of a private canoe so we didn't have to haul ours (there were a couple of kayaks too), a stack of wood that was worth the purchase (not skimpy like some campgrounds) for use in the generously sized fire-pit which we used for roasting marshmallows and also to sit by while star-gazing and watching fireflies from our site, which was spaced the perfect distance away from fellow tenters, and positioned on the edge of the woods with easy field/lawn parking- this all made for a VERY relaxing camping trip! Our site was primitive with use of a nearby porta-potty. The field and the water made bug spray a must. We stayed at the "Treehouse" which was a large sturdy wooden structure that has a roof over most of it. We set our 6 man tent up on the part that was not covered by the roof. It was tight but worked and gives an idea of size of the structure. Window-like openings on three walls and wide open on the side facing the woods, I consider it to be a well-built lean-to. And when the brief rain came through, we stayed dry while playing board games by lantern. When tenting is dependent on fair weather, it was comforting to know we had a site with a built-in "plan B".

A Frame On Lake Murray
Great location. Place was tiny but spotless. Caught some fish, and enjoyed the lake and atmosphere.

The Tree House On The Lake
The place is super cool. Stay here! I set up a tent under the roof and left the rain fly off which made for a nice cool evening. Then it poured rain and I was dry. It was exciting to catch a couple of fish, see some gar hunting, and the cicadas were wild!

We had a great time! Jesse was gracious enough to upgrade us to the treehouse shelter since it was raining when we arrived. I recommend to definitely to book this shelter. It was great for relief from the rain and sun. Even if you don't want to sleep in the open air, you can pitch a tent by the firepit and use the shelter. We enjoyed out morning coffee with the cool breeze and feeling like we were in nature. Jesse and his family were great hosts! Easily accessible and accommodating but also gave us the privacy to relax. We truly felt like we were by ourselves. The portapotty was clean and a nice addition to have. We had fun walking the trails and exploring his land. Would have been great if the grass was cut but we booked last minute and Jesse was more than willing to accommodate us, so it's totally understandable. Definitely recommend for a great place to stay and relax!
