The property has been in the Monge family since the 1940's bought by Jose Monge Marquez. The campsite is located in a private property in the outskirts of El Yunque Rainforest in the town of Luquillo. The campsite areas and facilities are about 8 out of 43 acres of all the private property of rainforest, flowers, palm trees, and various fruit trees. The Sabana River, one of many that originate from El Yunque National Rainforest, the river goes through the property. All the campsites are close by the river with each having their own access and individual fire pits. The local attractions are: -El Yunque National Rainforest 15 minute drive up the mountain. -Las Paylas rockslides (2 minute drive & 8 minutes walking). -The Luquillo beaches which are La Pared, Playa Azul, Barneario de Luquillo. Los Kioskos de Luquillo, ect. (10 minutes drive). We look forward to hosting you!

Great campsite
Gerardo contacted me as soon as I made the reservation and was very helpful. The place was great and had a great nights sleep to the sound of the forest and the river right outside our tent.

Riverside Tree Tent Campsite
Amazing glamp in the jungle!
I stayed at La Jagua, the site is right next to the river and close to several hikes in El Yunque. The most impressive part was the services provided for that campsite: a full propane grill, several grilling utensils, plates cups, paper towels, towels, soap, a first aid kit, and more. The host is very accommodating and responsive to texts but stays out of your hair so you can enjoy the rainforest. Also, the tent kept me dry through an impressive amount of rainfall the second night. 5/5 would recommend.

Great convenient location for hiking at El Yunque. Beautiful river views, clean showers and bathroom. Recommend driving up the road a few minutes to the Angelito Trail.

We loved tent camping here- the sites are nicely spaced so there is some privacy between you and the neighbors. The sites are flat, and quiet with nice views… and the river is beautiful. The host was helpful. We will definitely be camping here again!
