Nestled in the heart of southeast North Carolina and conveniently located an hour from Wilmington, Jacksonville and Fayetteville — our 40+ acre family land is situated directly on historic Black River. Well known for its beautiful trees, wildlife and fisheries, Black River is also home to the oldest bald cypress forest in the world, many being alive hundreds of years before Jesus walked the earth. We are the only riverfront camping experience on Black River so we aim to provide you the best views, the most exceptional hospitality (from hosts Lisa and Eric), with hopes that you leave completely happy with our little piece of heaven and wanting to return year after year!

Lisa makes all her guests feel very welcome and makes sure they have everything they need. Great spot on the Black River for all your adventures. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite camp grounds in NC!

Beautiful property! Lisa and Eric were super nice and friendly. Tbh I didn’t know what to expect when I saw from other reviews that they ride around the grounds periodically but they’re very pleasant folks! My 9 year old daughter LOVED swimming at the beach and made tons of new friends!! Our new favorite campground we’ll be back!!

Loved the site. Everything was clean. Including the port-a-john. Close to water. Ms. Liza was very nice and they offer firewood at the front for $10 a crate. So convenient. Just booked another stay in a few weeks.

We had the best time at Black River Camping Ventures. Lisa was very helpful and took such good care of the property and all the campers. The view of the river was beautiful and the whole property made for a peaceful and relaxing get-a-way. We will absolutely be back soon.
