This is a very private location. In its former life this property was a limestone quarry. Evidence of it's history remain with high rock walls on both ends of the property. In the center of the property is about 5 acres that is flat and covered with wildflowers and small trees. There are several good options for camping in this area. Surrounding this area is another 15 acres of hills and trees great for hiking and enjoying the beautiful view of the Mississippi River below. There is a boat ramp just a mile down the hill for boating or fishing on the Mississippi and the city of La Crosse, WI and La Crescent, MN are each only about a five minute drive. Great River Bluffs State Park and countless other recreational opportunities are just minutes away.This is a very private location.  In its former life this property was a limestone quarry.  Evidence of it's history remain with high rock walls on both ends of the property. In the center of the property is about 5 acres that is flat and covered with wildflowers and small trees.  Surrounding this area is another 15 acres of hills and trees great for hiking, enjoying nature and viewing the beautiful Mississippi River below.  There are four unique campsites that are spaced far enough apart to maintain space and privacy.  Two of these sites can accommodate RV's or travel trailers.  There is a boat ramp just a mile down the hill for boating or fishing on the Mississippi.  The city of La Crosse, WI and La Crescent, MN are each only about a five minute drive away.  Great River Bluffs State Park and many other recreational opportunities are just minutes away.

Quarry in the Mississippi Bluff
I loved my visit to the quarry, even the journey up is beautiful as you see the river along the way. The campsite was so private and the walls really helped protect against sun and wind so it felt so calm. We loved exploring the scenic viewpoint onsite as well as the nearby state park. Thank you so much for our stay we can’t wait to journey on back thru!

Our first Hipcamp experience and it will be hard to beat! Enjoyed birdsong at dawn and dusk. 10 minutes from amenities but feels a world away. Appreciated having campfire wood available, and the chairs and picnic table at our site. Lots of room to spread out. Beautiful view from the Scenic Overlook. Erica is a gracious host. Highly recommend!

Such a neat and unique spot! We had a ton of privacy in our corner of the property in the cozy corner. There is an incredible view at the look out point with a swing and plenty of activities to do in the area - just a 10-15 minute drive to downtown LaCrosse. Our host, Erica, was very helpful and informative about the area as well as quick to respond! There is firewood for sale at the site as well. We were already talking about coming back again someday!

Had such an amazing stay here! The view was beautiful and the campsite was clean and comfortable. There was a beautiful lookout from the swing chair and the quarries were also beautiful. They had firewood and gallons of water to purchase near by which was very nice. Would definitely recommend to camp here!
