Best in California: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2023.
We are a family owned/operated ranch, located along the Cosumnes River, one of the last un-dammed rivers in California. As one of the last rivers flowing from the west slope of the Sierra without a major dam, the Cosumnes is a vital example of a healthy watershed. Our goal is to offer a unique outdoor experience for anyone looking for a place to spend time in the great outdoors. Whether you're looking for a single campsite, or a place for a larger gathering, we're excited to have you visit! Take your pick of activities available on site: swimming , gold panning, fishing, camp fires, wildlife watching, floating, hiking, and mountain biking to name a few. There are 3 miles of river to explore. Private and noise free. Porta potties on site.

Private River Front Group Site
Beautiful campsite!
Beautiful place, we had 5 families there and barely used up 50% of the space this camp site offer. Definitely will come back!

Site 5 - Sawyer's Bar
We had an amazing stay at Sawyer’s bar 5. Very spacious and the river was just a few steps away. We will definitely go back.

Site 7 - Rowan's Camp
Cattle Ranch Camping
This place is PURE magic. We spent Friday-Sunday in site 7 and had an incredible time. This is a very well-run ranch and hipcamp operation, alongside one of the last pristine Sierra-fed rivers we have left in California. The camp sites are incredibly well dispersed, but close enough that you can invite your neighbors over to your campfire. The camp host and camp manager are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. After this trip, this is the gold standard of hip camps as far as we're concerned.

Site 6 - Rowan's Camp
Best campsite EVER! The Ranch is absolutely beautiful and every site is perfect. We loved that our 2 year old lab could be off leash, unless near cattle (which never happened). She swam in the river overflow as it's really running at the time and just loved fetching on the grass! Tom was amazing, welcoming and checking in on us. Don't hesitate to stay here. It's incredible!
