Dean’s Campground

Welcome to Dean’s! Eight minutes off Highway 18 lies 11 acres of mostly undeveloped land. Dean's is a beautiful, bare-bones place to rest between national parks, before or after crossing the US / CA border, or to set up base camp to explore Seattle / Tacoma. Our location is convenient. We are just minutes from Auburn city limits. Road noise, planes, Pacific Raceways, and freight trains are audible here even if muffled by the trees. In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Our quiet hours are 8pm-8am so we can rest up for the next day’s adventures. We ban fires during the peak of summer to avoid the issue of wildfires entirely. Propane stoves are welcome. We do not have a check in cut-off time tho reservations do need to be made before midnight. We have zero tolerance for hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward people, belongings, and wildlife. With that being said, the 40+ year old trees and distance between the campsites provides space for you to bring and create your own vibes. Hosts should only approach you with safety or quiet hour concerns. They are available 24 / 7 for any questions or requests you may have. Earth Biscuit Skykomish Campground

The Good news is Earth Biscuits Skykomish Camp Ground, at least most of it, survived the Bolt Creek wildfire ( largest wildfire in western Washington in over 30 years) over 13,000 acres burned. Firefighters and first responders are our our heroes! Earth Biscuits is a private camp ground for the “Inner Earth Biscuit “in all of us. Earth Biscuits is a sanctuary and a place to enjoy nature Located in Skykomish Washington, a small town 15 minutes from the Stevens Pass Ski Resort and the Pacific Crest Trail. We have 53 acres of a southern facing hill side that runs along the Henry M. Jackson, Wild Sky Wilderness within the Mt. Baker National Forest. We have eight sites for camping. All sites have a fire ring, a table of some sort and a barrel of water for dousing your campfire. All but 2 sites have a deck for setting up on. We give each party a clean camping toilet and privacy tent. There are two outhouses one up top and one below. Two of the sites (1 and 2) overlook the town and valley below. Here is where you can watch the birds from above and see the sun shimmering of the back of their wings as they sore. Eagles, Hawks, etc. Saw an Owl three days ago and lots of Grouse. Site 1 has one deck but the view is worth the trek. AWD needed to get there. You may have campers hiking up to the cliffs 250' further up the trail. Site 2 has a nice view of the town below. Three decks. AWD needed to get there. Site 3 is very private and down a fairly steep grade. You'll be camping in a forest on an old logging road. It's private. AWD definitely needed! Site 4 is in the far corner of the lower property. It's private and is where most vans go. It has one 12x8 deck. Site 5 is at the cross roads. it is large enough to accommodated several autos or a van or trailer. One 12x8 deck. Some highway noise. Site 6 can accommodate larger parties and has one deck. Some highway noise but it can handle larger parties. Last weekend it accommodated a party of 14. Site 7 is new and therefore primitive compared to the others; but it is private. This site is one where the Bolt Creek Wildfire came through. There is one more new site not listed yet that is up top right next to site one. it is eight next to the national forest in an area I'm told is very good mushroom hunting. You cannot park next to the camping spot unless you have a vehicle that can traverse it. A short bed jeep and/or vehicle with high clearance. Site 1 and the new site together can accommodate a party of 6+. With all this information you can reserve the site you want but be advised that to get to the upper sites ( 1-3) will definitely require a AWD vehicle. All campers are welcome to hike up to the cliffs for viewing. The road going into the property is flat and level; however, we reclaimed an old logging road and it takes a jeep or 4-wheel drive truck type vehicle (Subaru makes it all day long for some reason) to get past the switchback as it heads up to the cliffs and camping spots 1-3. Bring binoculars. Be advised that it takes an able-bodied person to get to the top as the trail going to the cliffs is rough. We are laying some ropes but count on your own ability, not the ropes. We have not put in electric hook ups, water, sewage disposal, therefore your rig needs to be self-contained. We offer a clean and sanitary camping toilet for each party. Works well and easy to use. If panning for minerals is your thing there are a couple of seasonal creeks. The property is walking distance to 4 local eateries, a laundromat , a tavern, coffee shop, outfitter, fishing guides, convenience store/gas station. Skykomish is a train community and sports a train park which offers free miniature train rides May thru October. Fun for the kids of all ages. Keep in mind that as a train community there will be trains that rumble through the valley at night. If that bothers you bring ear plugs. There are numerous hiking trails in the area as well as several rivers in the area. The Foss, Beckler, Skykomish and several pristine alpine lakes. Biscuits come to the area for a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including skiing, snow shoeing, rafting, mushroom hunting, rock climbing, quad tours, gold panning, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking, mountain rescue instruction or just unplugging from the world below and simply chilling. Pets are welcome however the property is located within the town limits of Skykomish and there is a leash law and you don’t want rover to chase wildlife into the mountains or across the highway and be lost forever. It happens. This area is rich with history from “The Olden Days”. The longest train tunnel in the western hemisphere was constructed through/under these mountains in the early 1900s after the nation’s worst train disaster, an avalanche, took 96 souls. Wellington (site of the disaster) is a short drive, is worth seeing and is wheel chair accessible. Two books written about this, both excellent reads. The White Cascade and Vis Major. During the time of tunnel construction between the logging and rail/tunnel workers there were some 20,000 living and prospering in the Skykomish Valley. They were a hearty rough-and-tumble crowd. Thursday through Sunday there is a museum and art gallery in town. Also, there is abundant wildlife in the area including bear, deer, cougar, bobcat, porcupine, etc. In the event you’re fool hearty, NOT diligent, (lazy) and you leave food items out, that will serve as a chow call for the bears. FULL DISCLOSURE: There hasn’t been a bear attack in a very long time up here, and don’t think you're the bear whisperer because you’re not. That title belongs to Father Earth Biscuit. His ghost wanders the woods at night. I observed him playing poker recently late at night with the Sasquatch and bear that lives in these woods. The bear lost and was angry and was departing the area hoping to find a tasty human but found a nice nest of grubs instead and so he forgot about his people hunt. Unfortunately, just as my camera was ready to take video of the whole affair my battery went dead. I needed to get out of there anyway as to that point I had not been detected by them. But they are there! We biscuits find that bears are people too and they are just trying to fill their calorie needs and they like cheese burgers and chips of any kind with their beer. Don’t leave out the food items. IT WOULD BE A PROVOCATION ON YOUR PART! Enuf said. Hunting/ shooting is strictly forbidden. All state fire restrictions are adhered to. No Rock climbing the cliffs unless you’re an instructor level climber and can show credentials We have planned this as a FAMILY CAMP GROUND therefore, illegal substance users should look for another place. Your rig must be in good condition. No old 1900s models that clutter city streets down below. I hope you understand our intent here. Be advised that Length of stay is limited.

Aquaman Mountain

322 acres that was cut down in 2020. We are growing over 150,000 trees on it now with plans to line the 1.5 mile driveway with Japanese Cherry Blossoms from DC (Yoshino, Kwanzan, Weeping, Okame, Higan). The mountain starts at 600 feet elevation and climbs to 1600 feet. Very peaceful and remote yet you can see Seattle and Mt Rainer. In the Fall/Winter of 2023-2024, we have spread millions of wildflower seeds. We are very excited to see the results in Spring 2024. As I will spend over $60k a year fighting blackberry, cottonwood, red alder, and Elk to get our forest established in the next few years, your contribution by staying here will 100% assist with helping the trees. There are 9 different secluded campsites on the mountain. All the sites can be used to host parties of up to 150 people (we have done it several times). The issue to consider is traffic. For large parties, we ask most people (usually car people) to park below on Green River Gorge Rd (there is a large county pull off) and then load into the back of trucks for the drive up the mountain. It is a one lane road, so it could get congested if 100 cars drove up it. One retirement party rented a bus for running people up and down and a porta potty at their site for guests. I am very happy to assist with party planning and setup if you have a wedding or retirement or business party. (or anything else) Boy and Girl Scout troops and Explorer scout units are welcome to camp free (when doing unit camping). Site 4 would be best for large troops.

McMurtrey Farm

Larry and Dolly McMurtrey purchased the Delveccio farm in 1975 next door to this farm. The farm offered an exciting new venture after retirement. The McMurtrey's had many fun and unique ideas. They purchased truck loads of scrap glass to resell as fish glass, which is still seen today in the parking lot. They grew bamboo and sold imperfect veggies that farmers were going to throw away. Eventually they landed on Christmas trees. To expand their ventures, they leased this land for many years then eventually sold the Delveccio land and purchsed this farm in 1998. Today, Larry and Dolly's daughter and son-in law, Jana and Pablo Sifuentes have grown the family business to provide wonderful memories to the community during the holiday season. This year the farm is again offering a pumpkin patch in September and November and planting some sunflowers and dahlias. We are excited to see where the future of the farm takes us and thank the community for their love and support.

Lazy River Camping

We often see deer, hawks, bald eagles, blue herons, beavers, as well as other wildlife living on, or roaming through our beautiful land. Feel free to float the river, enjoy a picnic, host a bbq, put in a game of horseshoes, roam, explore, or simply lay in the hammock all day. We're just a few short miles from the falls @ Granite Falls, as well as many local hiking trails. Or, if you prefer the lake, we are just a couple minutes from beautiful Lake Stevens. Of course dogs are welcome, however we ask that you keep them leashed as to avoid potential conflict with other guests or pets. 10 acre homestead on the outskirts of downtown North Bend at the base of Mt. Si. Breathtaking view of the mountain, peaceful pastures, amazing wildlife. Walk or ride to all the charm of Downtown North Bend (0.7 miles), The Snoqualmie River (0.5 miles) or The Snoqualmie Trail (0.5 miles). Close to Rattlesnake Lake (6.5 miles) and a huge variety of hiking trails. The farm is regularly visited by elk. During the spring and summer there are usually cows, cats, and two working dogs on the property. Hollow Tree Campsite is private, located on the far side of the pasture, next to a seasonal creek (dry in the summer). For larger groups we offer two adjacent pasture sites, Hollow Tree and Cherry Tree. And for those in a vehicle requiring hookups, Barn Camp is an excellent option. Farm 108 is a lovely place to get away from the hustle and enjoy the outdoors, while still accessing great eateries and activities. Hope to see you soon!

Carnation Moss Forest

5 acres natural forest, foot trails to Little Ames Creek flowing from Ames Lake. 2 RV campsites - #1. Carnation Moss Forest and #2. Magical Mossy Forest - 50ft from a road, in a valley neighborhood of Redmond, Washington, the sites share the driveway and a large washfountain, featuring- Two 23 ft long parking pads for 1 RV each in Carnation Moss Forest and in Magical Mossy Forest 1 vehicle parking space, such as a car, SUV, jeep, in the loop through driveway 2 tent camping pads each in Carnation Moss Forest and in Magical Mossy Forest 3 hydrants with Potable/ drinking water 2 Electric power poles of 50a, 30a, and 110 outlets with a light at night 2 porta-potties, regularly serviced 4 fire pits Several chairs, tables, picnic tables, and umbrellas in the summer. Two solidly built swing sets, with slides, one with an enclosed fort on top, climbing area, kids picnic table underneath. A picnic table and chairs sit nearby for parents to enjoy. A large vintage terrazzo semi-circular classic washfountain (not hooked up to water yet!) The parking lot is behind trees, approx 50 ft from the main road which has regular daily traffic and noise driving by at the top of the site. It quiets down after work in the evenings. Dogs bark because they are dogs, but when you go deep into the forest you can barely hear the road or the dogs. The parking area can only be located there, in order to maintain the ecology of Ames Creek. The entrance is down through either of two driveways from the main road, on a horseshoe loop drive-through, to the L-shaped parking lot. Tent camping is 4 to 6 total soft pads in the forest near the parking sites. Note: Ames Creek does dry up in mid-summer. For large RVs maneuvering skills are required to park on the level 23 ft long parking pads in the parking area down the hill from the road. It is a U-shaped drive-through, flat at the bottom of the small driveway hill. It has a main trail and many small pathways between ferns and hillocks. In an effort to preserve and protect this wild habitat, we have already planted 200 + Western Red Cedars, Douglas Firs, salal, snowberry, native current, and other native vegetation. This is a great private spot for an RV or similar vehicles and 2 tent circles. A firepit, and porta-potty next to each pad, another firepit in one of the 2 tent circles for each RV parking pad site. A completely natural untouched Pacific moss rainforest about 30 miles inland on the foothills of the Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. Some areas it is likely no one has ever walked on. Bring mosquito repellent. Be aware of kids and dogs near road entrances, as well as near the creek in the winter. It is located near major fun sites, it is a wilderness playground! Ames Creek dries up mid-July and returns in Sept/Oct. There are a lot of little paths crisscrossing the creek, likely raccoon and deer trails. We are happy to have your dogs visit - they will love it! Please remember to bring an extension cord to access power. There are fire pits. When possible firewood is provided gratis in the woodshed. There are bundles of wood for sale at the Ace Hardware store in Carnation. + 5 minute drive to Carnation Farms Farmstand for eggs, meat, milk, juices, homemade dishes, veggies, berries, fruit, ice cream, cheeses, vinegar, chocolate, sauerkraut, kimchi! + 15 minute drive to Remlinger Farms (summer only) amusement rides for kids - Model-T cars, swings, canoe, carousel, pumpkin rides, steam train, roller coaster, barrel ride, peddle cars, giant slide, whirly bird, star gazer, wreaking ball, pony ride, hay rides, - u-pick fields, ice cream & pies, corn mazes, many animals (bunnies too), and a brewery with bands! + 15 min drive to Snoqualmie River + 20 minutes drive to Snoqualmie Falls +15 minute drive to Microsoft Campus, Nintendo, Pushpay, llink Systems, ADIC (Advanced Digital Information Corporation), Meta, Spacemark in Redmond #larping + 23 mins from the cute town of Issaquah + 2 hours and 30 minutes drive to the famed The Gorge Amphitheater, near George, Washington, a natural outdoor concert venue in Grant County + 27 minute drive to Chateau Ste. Deciduous forest with Big Leaf Maple and Alder, the woods are hemlock, Western red cedar, and Douglas Fir trees, with a creek on site, and Ames Lake nearby. Bird watchers may spot rare species at this pristine natural location, 15 minutes from Redmond's city center. Many types of these birds - pied-billed Grebes, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Red-tailed Hawks, accipiters, Killdeer, woodpeckers, wrens, blackbirds, some ducks, chickadees, and other rare species are resident here. During spring and summer, warblers, rails, American Bittern, and sparrows can be quite common. Wintertime brings geese, many types of ducks, gulls, swans, Northern Shrikes, Peregrine Falcons, and some Rough-legged Hawks. This location is near U.S. National Forest extending more than 140 miles along the western slopes of the Cascade Range from the Canada–US border to the northern boundary of Mount Rainier National Park. Earth Biscuit Skykomish Campground

The Good news is Earth Biscuits Skykomish Camp Ground, at least most of it, survived the Bolt Creek wildfire ( largest wildfire in western Washington in over 30 years) over 13,000 acres burned. Firefighters and first responders are our our heroes! Earth Biscuits is a private camp ground for the “Inner Earth Biscuit “in all of us. Earth Biscuits is a sanctuary and a place to enjoy nature Located in Skykomish Washington, a small town 15 minutes from the Stevens Pass Ski Resort and the Pacific Crest Trail. We have 53 acres of a southern facing hill side that runs along the Henry M. Jackson, Wild Sky Wilderness within the Mt. Baker National Forest. We have eight sites for camping. All sites have a fire ring, a table of some sort and a barrel of water for dousing your campfire. All but 2 sites have a deck for setting up on. We give each party a clean camping toilet and privacy tent. There are two outhouses one up top and one below. Two of the sites (1 and 2) overlook the town and valley below. Here is where you can watch the birds from above and see the sun shimmering of the back of their wings as they sore. Eagles, Hawks, etc. Saw an Owl three days ago and lots of Grouse. Site 1 has one deck but the view is worth the trek. AWD needed to get there. You may have campers hiking up to the cliffs 250' further up the trail. Site 2 has a nice view of the town below. Three decks. AWD needed to get there. Site 3 is very private and down a fairly steep grade. You'll be camping in a forest on an old logging road. It's private. AWD definitely needed! Site 4 is in the far corner of the lower property. It's private and is where most vans go. It has one 12x8 deck. Site 5 is at the cross roads. it is large enough to accommodated several autos or a van or trailer. One 12x8 deck. Some highway noise. Site 6 can accommodate larger parties and has one deck. Some highway noise but it can handle larger parties. Last weekend it accommodated a party of 14. Site 7 is new and therefore primitive compared to the others; but it is private. This site is one where the Bolt Creek Wildfire came through. There is one more new site not listed yet that is up top right next to site one. it is eight next to the national forest in an area I'm told is very good mushroom hunting. You cannot park next to the camping spot unless you have a vehicle that can traverse it. A short bed jeep and/or vehicle with high clearance. Site 1 and the new site together can accommodate a party of 6+. With all this information you can reserve the site you want but be advised that to get to the upper sites ( 1-3) will definitely require a AWD vehicle. All campers are welcome to hike up to the cliffs for viewing. The road going into the property is flat and level; however, we reclaimed an old logging road and it takes a jeep or 4-wheel drive truck type vehicle (Subaru makes it all day long for some reason) to get past the switchback as it heads up to the cliffs and camping spots 1-3. Bring binoculars. Be advised that it takes an able-bodied person to get to the top as the trail going to the cliffs is rough. We are laying some ropes but count on your own ability, not the ropes. We have not put in electric hook ups, water, sewage disposal, therefore your rig needs to be self-contained. We offer a clean and sanitary camping toilet for each party. Works well and easy to use. If panning for minerals is your thing there are a couple of seasonal creeks. The property is walking distance to 4 local eateries, a laundromat , a tavern, coffee shop, outfitter, fishing guides, convenience store/gas station. Skykomish is a train community and sports a train park which offers free miniature train rides May thru October. Fun for the kids of all ages. Keep in mind that as a train community there will be trains that rumble through the valley at night. If that bothers you bring ear plugs. There are numerous hiking trails in the area as well as several rivers in the area. The Foss, Beckler, Skykomish and several pristine alpine lakes. Biscuits come to the area for a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including skiing, snow shoeing, rafting, mushroom hunting, rock climbing, quad tours, gold panning, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking, mountain rescue instruction or just unplugging from the world below and simply chilling. Pets are welcome however the property is located within the town limits of Skykomish and there is a leash law and you don’t want rover to chase wildlife into the mountains or across the highway and be lost forever. It happens. This area is rich with history from “The Olden Days”. The longest train tunnel in the western hemisphere was constructed through/under these mountains in the early 1900s after the nation’s worst train disaster, an avalanche, took 96 souls. Wellington (site of the disaster) is a short drive, is worth seeing and is wheel chair accessible. Two books written about this, both excellent reads. The White Cascade and Vis Major. During the time of tunnel construction between the logging and rail/tunnel workers there were some 20,000 living and prospering in the Skykomish Valley. They were a hearty rough-and-tumble crowd. Thursday through Sunday there is a museum and art gallery in town. Also, there is abundant wildlife in the area including bear, deer, cougar, bobcat, porcupine, etc. In the event you’re fool hearty, NOT diligent, (lazy) and you leave food items out, that will serve as a chow call for the bears. FULL DISCLOSURE: There hasn’t been a bear attack in a very long time up here, and don’t think you're the bear whisperer because you’re not. That title belongs to Father Earth Biscuit. His ghost wanders the woods at night. I observed him playing poker recently late at night with the Sasquatch and bear that lives in these woods. The bear lost and was angry and was departing the area hoping to find a tasty human but found a nice nest of grubs instead and so he forgot about his people hunt. Unfortunately, just as my camera was ready to take video of the whole affair my battery went dead. I needed to get out of there anyway as to that point I had not been detected by them. But they are there! We biscuits find that bears are people too and they are just trying to fill their calorie needs and they like cheese burgers and chips of any kind with their beer. Don’t leave out the food items. IT WOULD BE A PROVOCATION ON YOUR PART! Enuf said. Hunting/ shooting is strictly forbidden. All state fire restrictions are adhered to. No Rock climbing the cliffs unless you’re an instructor level climber and can show credentials We have planned this as a FAMILY CAMP GROUND therefore, illegal substance users should look for another place. Your rig must be in good condition. No old 1900s models that clutter city streets down below. I hope you understand our intent here. Be advised that Length of stay is limited.

Dean’s Campground

Welcome to Dean’s! Eight minutes off Highway 18 lies 11 acres of mostly undeveloped land. Dean's is a beautiful, bare-bones place to rest between national parks, before or after crossing the US / CA border, or to set up base camp to explore Seattle / Tacoma. Our location is convenient. We are just minutes from Auburn city limits. Road noise, planes, Pacific Raceways, and freight trains are audible here even if muffled by the trees. In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Our quiet hours are 8pm-8am so we can rest up for the next day’s adventures. We ban fires during the peak of summer to avoid the issue of wildfires entirely. Propane stoves are welcome. We do not have a check in cut-off time tho reservations do need to be made before midnight. We have zero tolerance for hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward people, belongings, and wildlife. With that being said, the 40+ year old trees and distance between the campsites provides space for you to bring and create your own vibes. Hosts should only approach you with safety or quiet hour concerns. They are available 24 / 7 for any questions or requests you may have. Overview

Just an hour from Seattle, the Snoqualmie Pass area is a world apart. As you drive up I-90, the city falls away, and the Washington wild takes over. Skiers fly down snow-covered peaks, and secluded campsites dot the forest. The breathtaking Snoqualmie River winds through it all, drawing paddlers and anglers.

Start your trip with a visit to Snoqualmie Falls, which roars over a cliff west of North Bend. RV parks near the falls are a great home base for tubing and kayaking on the river.

Further up the Snoqualmie River, sleep among the pines at Denny Creek Campground. Grab a site with a picnic table or electrical hookups; reservations are a must. If you’re in search of peace and quiet, a better option is the Middle Fork Campground. The Forest Service keeps the area clean, and the Middle Fork Trail is ideal for hiking and biking along the river.

Throughout the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, you’ll find a vast range of campsites. At Lake Easton State Park, try kid-friendly swimming and biking. Tinkham, a favorite of anglers, provides space for tent camping and RVs. For quiet hiking and fly fishing, load up your gear and camp in the backcountry.

Most local campgrounds close when the snow falls. You can still enjoy the wilderness—book a cabin or a glamping retreat. Bundle up and head into the Snoqualmie area for Nordic and downhill skiing, ice fishing, and snowshoeing.
