CAMPING: Cabins and camping; Tent and RV camping from full hookup to dry. While staying with us: You'll have great views of the wrangle mountain range and the river itself. You'll have access on a spacious river bank to fish from camp, no need to hike anywhere. The eagles sit in the trees eager for the fishermen to get lucky and pose for pictures. We have fire rings and picnic tables at each site. We can accommodate large RVs to tents. showers, flushing toilet and laundry facility are located at the main office building; outhouses down by the river. Our rates are tent $35, dry RV $40, electric $50, electric w/water, $55, full hookup $60 and $150 for Cabin (minimal 2 nights stay for cabins) Going fishing with us? Full service charters offered. Yes we provide all gear tackle bait etc. We offer rafting charters only, not on a jet boat. We get off and fish at the hot spots on the way down the river. It is a 24mi float down one of the fastest sport fishing rivers in America. We target multiple species and can customize your charter accordingly. In the river we have King Salmon available 1 July - 10 August. Sockeye salmon from June - September. Trout, Grayling, Dolly Varden and other smaller species able to be targeted throughout the year.

Denali's Doorstep Dry Camping Cabin

Just 30 minutes away from the South Entrance to Denali National Park, this is one of the BEST private camping cabins on the Parks Highway! Strategically located on a secluded homestead from the 1960s, you'll be able to see Mount McKinley on a clear day! The nearby Summit Lake is perfect for fly fishing and local hiking trails are accessible right from the front door. We've got a couple kayaks for rent if you'd like to explore the local lake. Experience a TRUE Alaskan living experience in this DRY cabin with Modern touches. Since there's no interior running water or septic system, we encourage our guests to stop by the local gas station to pick up a couple gallons of water and some water bottles for drinking/washing hands. We do provide a camping toilet (5 gallon bucket with seat and trash bags) but you'll have to haul the bags out with you when you leave - along with your trash. Electricity is provided via a Generator that we provide - but you will need to refill the fuel you use at the local gas station. There is heat provided via a Fuel Oil stove. To save costs on cleaning fees - you'll be responsible to leave the cabin in as good - if not better condition than you find when you arrive. We practice the "Leave No Trace" principles. Since we don't have a local cleaning team in place, you'll also need to bring your own bedding (recommend a sleeping bag) and linens/towels etc. If you're flying in to Anchorage we recommend you stop in at the local Walmart and buy a cheap sleeping bag to carry with you on your journey throughout the state. It will be about the same cost as a typical cleaning fee. Trust us, the extra work to enjoy this cabin is worth it! It has the most INCREDIBLE scenery! Bring S'mores and some firewood for the fire pit and enjoy an Alaskan experience at Denali's Doorstep!

The Bluff Cabin at Clam Gulch

The Bluff Cabin at Clam Gulch is located at Magical Camping! The cabin is 12' x 24' with a great layout. The cabin includes a kitchen area, a full size murphy bed that looks out over Cook Inlet and Mt Reboubt, and a sweet one burner Jotul wood stove for heat and cooking. The cabin comes with enough firewood for a two-night stay. Wake up and have French press coffee in bed looking at the eagles fly by, riding the thermals. This is the dream romantic getaway! Hear only the surf crashing, and birds!! There is a porta potty located between two outbuildings near the cabin. Please park in front of the Bluff Cabin. Guests will enjoy the grassy bluff and the built-in fire pit, the gazebo and the granite table for cooking and washing. There is a charcoal barbeque available for guests, bring your own charcoal. The cabin is dry and non-electric. There is no wifi, but has cellular connectivity. The cabin will be supplied with 8 gallons of potable water, but guests can always bring extra, or refill water at the Kasilof Mercantile just 7 miles away. They also have groceries! The closest gas station is also 7 miles away in Kasilof. Clam Gulch Beach Access is just 4 miles away, with miles and miles of beach to walk! Ninilchik is 14 miles down the road where guests can find the Old Ninilchik Beach Access, or the Deep Creek Beach Access, and also the Three Bears Grocery Story and Roscoe's Pizza.

Three of which are plainly visable on most days, and three that can be seen on good clear days from Artistic Afterthoughts home in Ninilchik, Alaska. The Volcanoes visible from the Kenai Peninsula, starting from the north and going south, are:Mount Spurr, which erupted in 1953 and again in 1992, standing 11,070 feet tall. Mount Redoubt, standing 10,197 feet sigh, erupted on March 15, 2009 and sent ash plumes as high as 60,000 feet. Mount Redout also erupted for 7 months starting in December 1989 and ending in June 1990 creating ash clouds 12 miles high!Mount Illiamna is a non-active volcano since 1741, at least not in recorded events. She stands a good 10, 016 feet into the clouds. Fourpeaked Mountain stands 6904 feet tall. Across the Cook Inlet, her first recorded eruption wasn't recorded until 2006. This is one of the lesser known volcanoes North East of Katimai National Park. Fourpeaked Glacier covers most of the surface of the Volcano. Mount Augustine is a volcanic island in Kamishak Bay, which lies directly across from Kachemak Bay. Although she stands only 4,134 feet tall, Mount Augustine is quite active, erupting in 1883, 1908, 1935, 1963-64, 1976, 1986, and 2005-2006. Mount Douglas is dormant volcano that hasn't erupted since the ice age. She stands 7,020 feet tall.

The nearby Summit Lake is perfect for fly fishing and local hiking trails are accessible right from the front door. We've got a couple kayaks for rent if you'd like to explore the local lake. Experience a TRUE Alaskan living experience in this DRY cabin with Modern touches. Since there's no interior running water or septic system, we encourage our guests to stop by the local gas station to pick up a couple gallons of water and some water bottles for drinking/washing hands. We do provide a camping toilet (5 gallon bucket with seat and trash bags) but you'll have to haul the bags out with you when you leave - along with your trash. Electricity is provided via a Generator that we provide - but you will need to refill the fuel you use at the local gas station. There is heat provided via a Fuel Oil stove. To save costs on cleaning fees - you'll be responsible to leave the cabin in as good - if not better condition than you find when you arrive. We practice the "Leave No Trace" principles. Since we don't have a local cleaning team in place, you'll also need to bring your own bedding (recommend a sleeping bag) and linens/towels etc. If you're flying in to Anchorage we recommend you stop in at the local Walmart and buy a cheap sleeping bag to carry with you on your journey throughout the state. It will be about the same cost as a typical cleaning fee. Trust us, the extra work to enjoy this cabin is worth it! It has the most INCREDIBLE scenery! Bring S'mores and some firewood for the fire pit and enjoy an Alaskan experience at Denali's Doorstep!
