The site's first appeal is the amazing view of Bull Mountain Ridge. Beautiful all year long, but particularly in late October when the leaves are in their richest colors. The site is roomy for small to mid-sized RVs and offers a private water hook-up, 30 amp, and 20 amp power outlets. It feels private and tucked away, but is very accessible to all of what the Asheville area has to offer. Downtown is a 15 minute drive; ride services and shuttles* are both easy to secure and quite affordable. Additional parking is available for a fee. The backdrop of the site is forested and easy to relax in - the understory is maintained for guest use, providing cooling shade with a stunning view. I usually try to say hello to folks and make sure they get settled in alright, but let me know if you'd prefer just to come in and have privacy. Don't feel the need to come to the house unless you can't get a hold of me via text and you need assistance. I may not be available when you arrive, but I'll try to get back in touch with you as soon as I'm able. *If I am available, I can offer boat, bike, and hike shuttling for a fee. I also have a one-person kayak, and a two-person canoe that are usually available and camping gear. Contact me beforehand if you are interested in renting any of these items. **Please be aware that this section of North Carolina has a particularly large population of American black bears. Any food stuffs, or other "smell-ables" will potentially attract bears. Rigs measuring approximately 20'(vehicle) and 20' (trailer) can pull in my driveway (parallel to parking pad) and then back into the site for an easy departure in the morning. Please let me know if you have a lengthy vehicle/trailer rig as even experienced trailer haulers can find it difficult to navigate alone. The leveled pad area is approximately 21'x18' (please check your wheel base) with room to turn around in the driveway beyond and in the site.

Bull Mountain Ridge

We stayed here for three nights while enjoying Asheville. Will is a perfect host. Checking on us to make sure everything was ok but giving us privacy. The spot is by his home and another but the sweet set up makes you feel as if you’re camping in the woods including water, electricity , fire pit and table. Do make sure to follow his directions instead of gps. We took an Uber to downtown and they were confused!

Loved this site

It as perfect! Level for my camper. It was clean and beautiful around the site. It felt very private even with houses close. It felt very safe due to a family next door with kids. A bear did come across our camp site which alarmed us a little but we got inside of our camper and all was good! We had a warning to watch for bears. He did not want us nor we him!! It was kinda cool that we got to see him

This was a beautiful, clean area perfect for staying in the mountains. There was firewood available and a nice pit. Great Mountain View’s and close enough to the city to go in and explore.

Great spot near Asheville

We enjoyed staying at Williams hipcamp. The site is level for our overland trailer RTT setup and large enough for easy maneuvering. Convenient location about 15 minutes from downtown. There's a small amount of road noise but don't let deter you from enjoying this clean and convenient spot.

Well maintained site

This is a great campsite! It is in a cute neighborhood and the site is very well maintained. It is spacious and offers a water and electric hookup. It is not the most private site but it is a great place to stay if you are hanging out in asheville. The site is only 15 outside of town and is quite easy to find. The host was very friendly and respectful of my space! Be careful if you are very allergic to poison ivy as i did see some around the edges of the site.

Great spot—close to downtown

This is a great spot if you are looking to stay close to Asheville. It’s only about 10-15 minutes from downtown. Camp site itself feels secluded and safe with privacy barriers and has a nice wooded feel as well as water hose. Williams is a super nice guy too. Definitely recommend if you don’t want to be too far off the beaten path.
