2 miles from the paved road, nestled in the back of Leesburg, are fifteen acres of tall trees and abundant undisturbedwildlife. Surrounded on all sides by similar wilderness, it is one of the few places in northern Virginia The Milky Way is visible on a clear night. Here you can take the dogs swimming in the river where water ranges from 6" to over 3 foot deep. Hammocks are hung at varying places throught the property to be found by hikeing trails, varying from easy to challenging. Local firewood available for night fires, or count the fireflies. Hate has no home here.Safely on the bank above the river to go swimming and wadeing in night or day, it has complete privacy. Guests will enjoy more than an acre to themselves, 500 foot walk down hill from parking, it is perfectly flat for tents fire pit and loose the dog. There are small fish to catch in the river, surrounded by native wildlife, and a nest of eagles often fly down the river. Cooking grill and toilet.

Secluded River Side Camping
Private campsite on a creek
Alex has a beautiful spot of land in Leesburg and the walk-in campsite is private with a big fire pit, grill, chairs and benches. It is nicely shaded and the bugs weren’t bad at all (the fire may have helped). It overlooks a beautiful stream and is surrounded by trails and well-placed hammocks for lounging. Keep an eye out for frogs, tadpoles and birds. The path down to the site is a well-cleared, steep hill lined with fairy lights and wood stairs part of the way. The toilet situation is very basic (think bucket and lime). We were camping with two kids under five who did great and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Alex for your generous hospitality!
