Site #1 -not so primitive
Great camping experience!
This was perfect for my first time camping experience! Dorothy’s property was beautiful and she had everything you could need! A platform for your tent, outhouse with a toilet and sink, shower, fire pit, grill, trash can and recycle and she even gave a cute little bucket that had first aid, disinfectant wipes, lantern, bug spray, etc. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend if you’re looking for a getaway/camping experience on a beautiful property! The sunsets and stars at night were incredible!

I would definitely recommended the campsites at Dorothy’s. She made us feel welcomed and was very nice about any questions we had. We also had a good night sleep and it was relaxing. We will definitely be coming back for more camping memories with our family!

Exactly what I needed
I had a lovely stay at Dot's Spots! I chose the lower pasture area, and that's exactly where I'll be next time I stay in that area- unless I can manage the dome house! I saw Miriam species of insects, flora and fauna! I even saw fireflies!! And if you forgot the big spray, no worries, Dot supplies you with a bucket full of things you may have left behind- sun screen, big spray, emergency cork screw! There's a picnic table (upon which was waiting a case of freshly picked wild flowers <3 ), a few lawn chairs (perfect for observing the night sky or sunning) and a hammock in the way back that is an excellent nap spot! The outhouse was clean and easily accessible. There are also solar powered lights to help you navigate in the dark. And the trees were lush and gorgeous! I did my morning yoga under the ones by the hammock. Dot and Reza were so kind! I got to snuggle their pooch Iris, which helped so much since I had to leave my usual travel companion (Max the dog) at home this time. And when my solar powered charger stopped working, they let me plug my phone in on the porch. They even gave me a tour of the dome house, which was so inviting and comfortable. There were some neighboring dogs barking in the distance, but they eventually got to the point where they didn't bother me. Or maybe they got let in for the night? Either way, they weren't anything that would stop me from coming back.

Geodesic dome
The dome is just so neat! We had the fun parts of camping but with the conveniences of modern life. The dome was thoughtfully appointed. We only wish we had more time there

Rock wall (site 1)
We had a great 2 day stay at Dot’s Place! Very relaxing and a perfect location to explore the cute towns in the Hill Country. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Loved the bucket of amenities (bug spray, and other essentials). Thanks for a wonderful stay! Hope to come back again one day!
