Our delightfully funny 5 acre farmstead was built by Swedish Pioneers in 1876 and we pioneered our Hipcamp on 18 June 2023. We have a variety of spaces for vehicles, tents and small campers midst leaning trees and funky old farm buildings. Rustically quaint and uniquely primitive, we are. Friendly dogs, sheep, one goat and shy cats. Rain sheltering in The Barn, The White House or Alpaca Coop. Well water via hydrant and drinkable water available . Lots of campfire wood to use and take. The Milky Way on a clear night. OUR LITTLE GROVE IN A NUTSHELL — SMACK IN THE BELLY BUTTON of the U.S.A. and only 30 minutes from the intersection of INTERSTATE 70 (goes east-west) and INTERSTATE 135 (goes north-south) — VERY SAFE and especially comfortable for those traveling alone - Drive RIGHT UP and PARK AT YOUR CAMPSITE - Most campsites are in one acre paddocks surrounded by 5 foot fencing so humans and pets can RUN WILD AND FREE — We tend to be kind and caring and are EAGER-TO-PLEASE country folk and creature Hosts who do best with close communication about arrival - MEADOWLARK BIKE AND WALK TRAIL within walking distance from your campsite and only three miles into Swedish Proud LINDSBORG with funny and fun events, lotsa art, shops, strong Swedish coffee and DINOSAUR SIZED DALA HORSE — RANDOM CREATURE ENTERTAINMENT by canines Annie, Charlie and Little Lost Dog Klaus, and the Motley Crew of Dolly the Wobbly Goat and sheep brothers Ozzie and John Everett. OUR LITTLE GROVE DESCRIPTION We are a safe spot to take refuge for a night… a week… a month. We are in the belly button of continental USA.Dolly Goat believes we are “Delphi”, the Center of the Universe. We have been popular with solo travelers and campers traveling across the country - the San Diego to New York and Alabama to Wyoming types. Of course, we are a reprieve to anyone needing a break from the outer world. You just text an hour or so ahead and HONK THREE TIMES for entry. We will open the rusty old gate and show you to your option of areas to stay. WE ARE ART AND KINDNESS IN PROGRESS. We are eager to be nicely organized, but are discombobulated rookies so a sense of humor and flexible joy for creative chaos will help give you a funny little farm experience. (More apt, Funny Farm Experience). GREAT THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU ARE HERE Proud-to-be Swedish LINDSBORG, three miles from us, is adorned with wooden Dala Horses, shops, art and galleries. Population is only 3,200, but we have a great grocery store with a Swedish aisle, pharmacy, National Geographic Photographer, a Full Service Gas Station and a CASTLE up the road. CORONADO HEIGHTS is our local castle where you can picnic and watch the sun rise or sun set on a 360 degree view of central Kansas countryside. Fifteen minute drive north from Our Little Grove. See https://www.visit lindsborg.com/Coronado-heights MEADOWLARK TRAIL is a nicely groomed biking and walking trail and is just across the field - you can walk to it from your campsite. LOTSA COMMUNIQUE We like/need more texts or messages than the average bear (as some say). We need to make sure we are around to open the gate and help setup for an especially pleasant stay. You will receive an automated message that gives basics about 48 hours before arrival. Other texts include EMERGENCY INFO, THINGS TO DO, such as the 360 view of Kansas from our local castle, Coronado Heights or the Swedish aisle of White’s Grocery Line.

Out Behind the Barn

Nice and shady, very remote. Even though there are multiple campsites they are really spread out. My dog loved being able to play off leash and hang out with Beverly’s dogs. Close to town. Overall great!

We greatly enjoyed our stay with Beverly. As a flint hill enthusiast the area had many scenic views nearby and on the way from the Kansas City area. The site is very animal friendly which I think was my kids favorite part. They had fun meeting all the dogs and goats/sheep. Our dog got along with everyone well. I loved that the site was shady and had great views for sun rise and set across a rural landscape. Loved listening to all the birds and saw orioles and barn swallows. Wish we had had time to do the meadowlark trail or explore Lindsborg more. We plan to stay again. There are some power outlets available, so next time I’d pack an extension cord.

Top-Notch Camping!

Beverly made our first camping experience with our Pup Rover one we will never forget. From start to finish it was absolutely wonderful. Beverly goes above and beyond to take care of her campers, and her hospitality is unmatched. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to camp there, the weather was perfect and the views were spectacular. Even better, she allowed her doggo”s the opportunity to spend time with us, and Rover loved every minute of being with them. I cannot recommend Beverley and her farm enough. We will certainly be back!

Next to the Whitehouse

Short stay, but this was a convenient stop for us as we travelled south for the eclipse. It was quiet, peaceful and the kids loved playing with the animals and all over the farm. A wonderful, warm and attentive host. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about stopping here.
