I grew up here my whole life, and I never got bored living here. Every day I got to wake up and go to the beach just minutes away from home, or my cousins and I would have a fishing contest to see who could catch the most fish. We would also go paddling up the river to lay nets down to catch some ono (delicious) crab for dinner. Nothing like living the true local style, which is the same experience I want you to have. Learn more about this land: Aloha! Looking for a place to lounge and adventure? Mangrove Lounge is the place for you! Mangrove Lounge is located right behind the historical town called Haleiwa Town. Camper Vans or RVs are more than welcome! During the day, enjoy access to a private river where you can take your fishing pole and catch yourself some dinner. After a busy day, enjoy a nice hot bath in a private shower under the stars, along with a flushing toilet and sink. Upon request and additional charge, end your adventure with a cozy night next to the fire pit ($28.00 for fire pit). Mangrove Lounge is 3-5 minutes (driving) away from many beaches and eateries in Haleiwa town where you can also do all your shopping. Less than a mile away, you can find all the delicious food trucks including the famous Giovanni Shrimp Truck. You can find your nearest supermarket just 1.2 miles away called Malama Market, and Longs Drug Store right across the street from Malama Market. Mangrove Lounge provides clean bathroom, a shower with hot water, access to a private river for relaxing or fishing, spacious camping tents if requested for $30.00-$40.00 your entire stay, about 800ft from the nearest bus stop, and secured privacy so you and your friends or family can relax, feel safe, and most importantly...have fun! 😊 Details about each campsite lounge: -Each campsite lounge provides a spacious area for tents or campervans. -Picnic table big enough to fit four people comfortably. -Garbage bins for trash. -Water hose located all around campsite for guests to use. - Access to a private river. -If its not a cloudy night, the stars here at Mangrove Lounge is beautiful. -Bathroom facility is sanitized and cleaned everyday. **What you should bring: 1. Magical, one of a kind place
If you’re looking for a genuine north shore Hawai’i camping experience, right at the edge of the water, with lots of options and amenities, this is the place for you. Right in the heart of a great town on the north shore; surrounded by mangroves and water with incredible views. The host and family were so kind and had incredible recommendations for food within 10 minutes of the campsite. They had options to rent a tent and other helpful camping gear, and even had the tent ready for us, which was really nice after a long day of travel. There was a shower with hot water (though not unlimited, so don’t be a ween it’s camping in Hawaii have some fun with it) and a toilet close to site, which was really nice to have as that is not true of most campsites. Driving slow on the way into site is a simple and needed request, as the road is dirt and very bumpy; in addition, the neighbors were very friendly and kind as we were passing through. I can’t explain enough how magical of an experience we had at this site; it’s one of the only places on the island that would even allow us to camp for our ten day stay, and I’m so grateful we found it. We will be back to those gorgeous views of the bay and the ocean to consume those endless aloha vibes.

Welcoming getaway!
Kaui and her family are so welcoming and kind! They are so fun to talk to and really made us feel like home when we were away from home. Kaui's land is absolutely beautiful and is a great place to get away from the crowds and look up at the stars while listening to the waves near by. My only complaint is the shower didnt have hot water all the time but that wasn't a deal breaker for us.

Was just what we needed!
We love camping out and this place had just what we needed: close to the harbor in Haleiwa, toilet, shower, and water. It was easy to communicate with the host and she gave some great recommendations for the area and even left us a little gift, which by kids loved. We’d recommend this place for those who enjoy camping.

We were greeted by Kauilini with a smile. She showed us around and everything we needed to know. The site is kept very clean and private. The bathroom/shower also very clean and worked great. Beautiful sunset when we were eating our supper. Kauilini was very easy to communicate with.
