Radiance Cabin, eco-preserve
Bachelor Party Retreat!
I booked the Radiance Cabin to celebrate my best friend’s bachelor party and he was beyond thrilled at the experience we shared. There is plenty of space outside to have a great time and the cabin itself is very cozy. The drive there is beautiful and breathtaking. The land is located close to beautiful lakes such as Bullards Bar. I will definitely be returning for more memorable adventures. Adam was a friendly and hospitable host.

We really enjoyed our time at Serenity cabin and we’ll definitely be back! The space was incredibly quiet and secluded with plenty of firewood and supplies for our 2 night stay. Bring drinking water and bug spray. The property was relatively easy to find and very convenient to the Yuba river. Mother Truckers is a great nearby spot to load up on supplies (food, drinks, etc). Looking forward to coming back here one day.

Rustic camping !!!
We had an awesome time camping over memorial day weekend at Maidu! Adam (host) was very accommodating, leaving rakes, shovels and water hoses out for us to use. There was never a shortage of birds, or mosquitos so be prepared with your repellants! The sites themselves are rustic but plenty of room to enjoy whatever activities you want either with tents or small campers. It seems that Adam makes a point to not overbook as he wants his guests to not feel crowded in this fabulous plot of nature.
Showers and latrines: There is 1 shower for the Maidu pond camping area, which worked well and was enough for the 4 sites of campers. 2 toilets are available and are compostable style... meaning, its a toilet seat over a hole dug deeply in the ground. They didn't smell and Adam made sure there was always enough toilet paper available. Privacy could be an issue for some... there are gaps in between the rustic walls where some could feel uncomfortable but we personally weren't concerned and used the facilities just fine. This is Rustic Camping after all.
Water from a natural spring is available at most sites via water hose with lots of pressure. The hose-water is crystal clear, but is fed from a 5,000 gal holding tank that is auto-replenished from the spring. We let the dogs drink it and they were just fine. A short 10 minute walk / 2 minute drive up the road is another natural spring water-source. This is fed from a 200 gal holding tank that is naturally replenished and cycled through.

Maidu Park Campground
Beautiful grounds, rustic and wooded. Lots of area to explore, with signage about to find the trails. My 5 year old daughter and I went on a quest to find the whitest flower and the greenest moss, and she was entertained for a couple hours of exploring. Abundant fallen wood for campfires, and it was nice to let the dog roam.
Would definitely come here again for a peaceful weekend away.
