Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village. Please note: We do allow pets in some of our sites for $10 per night. If you plan to bring a pet, please add the pet fee which is listed under "Extras" during the booking process.

We provide the first night of firewood with more available for purchase. We are all about peace and respect for the land and each other on Thrive Ranch. Please be expecting to exist in the same type of space while here. No loud music or huge ruckus'. If you have the need to create a space for a larger group where you can celebrate and make some noise just let us know, we can probably accommodate with special arrangements and at a different location on the property. No road noise at all, we are out here and the only thing you will hear at night is bugs and frogs. Maybe a moo or two occasionally during grazing season. We named all our sites after past and present pets that we hold very dear to our hearts. It was that or some kind of hairy fairy names that you hear everywhere else like serenity or solitude.....blechh... We have a stream that flows year round, a 10-12' sheet waterfall with a swimming hole and a glorious 100' waterfall to hike to, stand under or just sit and enjoy. We have a pond that we are currently developing as a contributing recreational space. We are adding value at a very rapid pace and will be adding to the description as we do. If you book a month out don't be surprised if we have added an outdoor kitchen. Our real toilet outhouses have been added to 3 of our sites. So much cool stuff to do on a really magical property. We want to share so come enjoy. Not one of our campsites are in view or proximity to the others. Very private and lots of solitude. We (as hosts) can be as present or invisible as you like. Access to miles of trails and roads on BLM/Forest Service land for hiking, ATV's, motorcycles and off-roading. Please know to explore responsibly and at your own risk to preserve the land and keep yourself safe. You are also welcome to explore the property with the exception of one space on the upper portion where the owners reside. This area will be clearly marked. Views are beyond and nothing man made that is not on the property is visible from the property with the exception of one little red light on a US Cellular tower across the valley. We currently do not provide electricity at the sites but it is in the works. We have both available a short walk from the camp site in a common area. The power is limited to charging tech, some laptop time and the like, It wont run a hairdryer, etc. The WiFi is common use and has the ability to download and make WiFi calls. No guarantee of its suitability for any particular purpose, it will depend on usage in the moment. There is little to no reception up here so please plan ahead. US cellular has property and valley wide reception but that is the only one. Verizon can send texts and messages but is painfully slow or non-existent on internet. Also has voice calls occasionally but don't count on it. All the other cell services we do not know about. If you would like to spend a week or more here and would like a better power/internet solution then let us know. We can set it up for specific needs. Good if you wish to be in an amazing space to work remote or write. We are adding decks for lounging and views, a solar and wood heated community Jacuzzi for our guests and an outdoor shower tub as we speak and will add pictures as the projects are completed. We welcome ATV's, side by sides, 4x4's, snowmobiles and other such fun rec stuff but will require you to ride/drive on the bazillion acres of BLM land. It is on two sides of the property and a short distance. Riding on and off the property is limited to 10 mph to limit dust and noise and safety for everyone on the property. Please let us know if you plan on bringing any toys so we can notify the others on the property and send additional info, rules and such. There are several wineries on the road between us and Ashland. If you get drunk please arrange a ride or contact us for help. We support not driving while under the influence and will support you. we also have several responsible persons that live on the property and can be hired to drive/guide you on tours. We are in the process of creating wine tours of the valley which will include a driver. We have several lakes within 10-30 minutes for boating, and other water sports. Rock climbing is also available with the local sport crag within 25 minutes, castle crags is about 2 hrs away and several other small crags and bouldering around the valley 30 min.-1.5 hrs. Instruction and guiding are available if you or your group would like to learn. Equipment provided. Inquire. We can provide certain camping amenities if you need them. We would love to make arraignments for kids groups, camps, music festivals and workshops. Please be aware that there is little to no cell service up here if you get lost you will have to back track, find service and contact us and we can help you find us. If you'd like, tell us when you are turning onto Dead Indian Memorial Rd so we can expect you in 30 minutes, if you don't arrive we can go looking for you. Please just let us know and we can send directions. Google maps will take you right to the property, we've found that other navigation apps will take you the wrong way. Dead Indian Memorial Rd. Is a very good two lane rd. Some steep grades but qaulity pavement. Internet available for all sites at a centralish location. There are some small trout in the stream but only throwback size so far. Grow fishy’s grow!!

I have two acres of land separate from my home, pretty much wooded property ideal for tent camping or sleeping in your car you are off the road a bit with privacy in a secure safe environment. You will find shells between the trees and solar lights at each campsite for your convenience.On the two acres, there's a Porta-Potty available, and all my guest will receive a welcome bag, as a thank you for booking with River Pines. There is four campsites of your choosing to choose from.The river is within walking distance, easily accessible off the main road, just about two car lengths away, off Sunna Ln. Additionally, I have a gravel driveway, mostly level, with room for one RV on the main driveway off Sprague River Road. This spot offers a river view and access for kayaking, fishing, and swimming. It's approximately 5 miles to the town of Chiloquin, about 35 miles from Crater Lake, roughly 12 miles from Collier Park Museum (a logging museum), and Spring Creek, around 32 miles to Klamath Falls. Named for its centerpiece caldera lake, formed by a volcanic eruption nearly 8,000 years ago, Crater Lake National Park—the only national park in Oregon—offers miles of snowshoeing and hiking trails, along with ranger programs, fishing, and boat tours. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the US, and a highlight for many visitors is the chance to go boating out to Wizard Island in the middle of the water. A segment of the iconic Pacific Crest Trail passes also through the park, and while hikers love it here, the park is equally fun to explore by car with a drive along the crater’s rim to experience miles of incredible views.

Cabin Rentals Near Crater Lake National Park

As Oregon's only national park, Crater Lake National Park is among the most popular outdoor destinations in the state. The park is named for its sapphire-hued caldera lake—the deepest in the US. While the area is covered with snow throughout much of the year, summers are sublime—and area cabins fill up fast. Cabin rentals are available inside the park at The Cabins at Mazama Village, which is operated by the park's concessionaire, but they get snagged up well in advance. Just don’t expect a standalone cabin: each cabin houses four private accommodations that feel a bit more like hotel rooms than rustic getaways. Plenty of private cabins can also be found for rent in the vicinity, notably in and around the nearby gateway town of Chiloquin and in the surrounding Umpqua National Forest. Look out for A-frames, tiny houses, and log cabins near Crater Lake, oftentimes with amenities like full kitchens, wood-burning stoves, and wifi.

Best for avoiding the crowds: Lost Creek Campground only has 16 campsites, which keeps things quiet.
Best for families: Mazama Village Campground offers tons of amenities to help your family camping trip run smoothly, including flush toilets and RV hookups.

Tips for snagging a campsite

Book the year before your stay if possible. RV camping and tent sites at Mazama Campground can be booked online through Crater Lake Hospitality up to a year in advance. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis in June and by advanced reservation for stays from July to September.
Lost Creek Campground offers tent camping on a FCFS basis. If visiting in June, Mazama and its 214 sites are your best bet.
To secure a FCFS site, check in at the crack of dawn and be prepared to wait for departing campers to pack up.
The park has five designated backcountry camping areas, each with a couple of sites included in the purchase of a first-come, first-served backcountry permit.

When to go

While Crater Lake is open year-round, it’s a summer destination and is at its busiest in July and August. September and early October see fewer crowds but still have nice weather, but things tend to take a turn by late October, when snowfall forces the park to close many of its roads. The North Entrance and West and East Rim Drives are always shut after the first major snowstorm or on November 1, whichever comes first. The North Entrance and West Rim Drive usually open in May or June, and East Rim Drive generally opens between late June and mid-July, depending on snow.

Know before you go

A Mazama Village general store and gas station sells groceries, supplies, and firewood from late May through the end of September. You can also stock up on supplies and groceries in Chiloquin, about a 20-minute drive from the park, or in Klamath Falls, 45 minutes away.
The park has three restaurants: Rim Village Café (with light food and grab-and-go items), Annie Creek Restaurant, and Crater Lake Lodge Dining Room.
Crater Lake is pet-friendly, and leashed dogs are allowed on select designated trails.
Crater Lake has two National Park Service visitors’ centers offering interpretive information, gift shops, potable water, and ranger talks. The Steel Visitor Center is open year-round (except on Christmas Day), while the Rim Visitor Center is only open in summer.
