The swimming hole
Really enjoyed camping at the swimming hole. Location was beautiful and very peaceful. Very secluded. Steve greeted us upon arrival and delivered firewood directly to our site. Steve made himself available if needed but didn’t see or hear from him for the rest of our stay. Site was clean and right next to the swimming hole. Water felt nice in the afternoon. Camp site had a fire ring and picnic table. Would definitely come back again.

Awesome view
We loved camping here! Didn’t swim ourselves but our pup wore himself out in the water. Such a beautiful view. We will be back.

The swimming hole
Very beautiful and private spot, the kids enjoyed the river, it’s the perfect depth for children to wade if u stay on the rocks and also has a drop off for swimming on the left side of the rapids. This is my new favorite spot!! Will definitely be coming back!!

The swimming hole
Steve has a nice little spot and we really enjoyed our time! Very private and lovely spot with the stream lulling you to sleep. Steve was very kind to sell us some extra firewood and deliver it right to the campsite when we ran out too quickly. This land has been in his family for centuries and you can tell he is passionate about sharing it with travelers.
Only thing to note when planning is that it's a short walk downhill from where you park your car. Not a bad thing but something to keep in mind.
We will definitely be back again!

The swimming hole
The Swimming Hole is a beautiful camp site and my 15 year old son and I had a great time there over Easter weekend. We happened to bump into Steve and Tina one afternoon on their 4 wheelers as we were unloading some things from the car on our second day there and had a brief exchange - otherwise, we just texted a few times when we arrived to let them know we were there. Their philosophy to just let guests be, to enjoy the private site and quiet we're escaping to, was perfect. They were responsive to any questions (what's the best place to cross the stream, for example - the answer is right at the campsite, btw!), but were not intrusive in any way.
The site was clean, freshly raked, and had a great spot for our tent. The walk down from the parking area was clean of debris and easy to navigate. There is a spot towards the bottom that gets a little muddy, but Steve has some pavers placed to help with your footing. Some gravel or other material that drains well would do great there for some folks with more limited mobility, but it worked just fine for us.
The stream was really cold as it's only the first week of April, but it was fun to fish in. I'm sure the swimming is incredible once it gets warmer.
We definitely can't wait to return
