This property is part of an original hundred acre woods in the Adirondack Park overlooking Lincoln Pond. My grandfather moved an old ice house under the property in 1943 and built the existing camp in 1949. Her family lives in Florida and has continued to maintain and improve the old camp for the last 40 years. After having done selective logging two years ago we discovered a spot in the back of the property overlooking the pond and with the removal of a couple of trees have a beautiful view of Lincoln Pond. The deck with the Yurt is the beginning of an eventual cabin. I live in the main house from late May until late October and decided to share it with like minded nature loving folks. It’s a 1/2 mile hike from the parking lot with total privacy. Learn more about this land: Located on top of a hill on a 100 acre wildlife sanctuary overlooking Lincoln Pond and the Adirondack High Peaks. Adirondack Mountain Hideaway
Great experience
The experience was amazing and the views were immaculate. Scott had everything you’d need for a glamping getaway - air mattresses, solar charging, working toilet, best container with a hoist that also doubled as a a place to hang a solar shower (super helpful). Getting up to the site itself was a little rough, I have a Hyundai Kona (which is classified as an SUV but still has a low ish clearance). We made it up very slowly with no damage to the car. I wouldn’t recommend the hike up to the campsite if your car won’t make the trek. Scott was very detailed in his pre check in instructions with how to get to camp. Bring firewood and TP for yourselves as those were limited however everything was well kept and the stay overall was exactly what we were looking for 🙂

Adirondack Mountain Hideaway
I had a wonderful experience tent camping at Scott's campsite. The views are stunning, and while the campsite is minimally equipped, it offers everything you need. I highly recommend bringing an SUV to avoid the 12-minute walk to the site. We arrived during a storm and were relieved not to have to walk in the heavy rain. Scott promptly cleared fallen trees from the road after the storm. Additionally, the campsite is conveniently located near several mountain trailheads. Thank you Scott!

All in all a great time
The tent site is wonderful and has a spectacular view, and Scott has appointed it with drinking water, solar lights, air mattresses, picnic table, and miraculously a flush toilet. The road up to the site was pretty gnarly, perhaps more so because it’s been such a wet year, but there is the option of parking at the bottom and walking the 1/2 mile. Unfortunately, the truck traffic on 87 is a fairly constant presence and of course more noticeable overnight. But the night sky was fabulous and all in all we had a great time at Scott’s place. The written directions for arrival were a bit misleading, but despite being in Peru (as in, South America) Scott responded to our messages and was very helpful.

Breathtaking View!
The experience of staying in a Yurt overlooking the mountains was so unique! You are completely secluded and have a breathtaking view you can't find in other camp sites, air bnbs or hotels. I recommend this place for those looking for an upgraded, unique camping experience.

The yurt was magical and the view was spectacular. Scott’s a wonderful host. You can tell he’s poured a lot of love into the campsite. And his spot is so close to all the great high peaks hikes. We’ll definitely be back.

Perfect stay at a perfect location
In a word - amazing. My daughter and I had a great stay. The site is totally private. The view over the lake is spectacular. The site itself is killer. The yurt was spacious and comfortable (and completely stable - we spent one night in 40mph gusts and driving rain and it was totally comfortable and dry inside). The outhouse was clean and hidden from view from the main campsite. And Scott is a gracious and welcoming host. He appointed the site with little things (solar shower; fresh drinking water; a towel; toilet paper; etc.). And he was immediately responsive to any questions we had, but gave us total privacy once we arrived. Finally, if you are doing any hiking in the high peaks, you can't find too many better locations, as you can be in the hear of the high peaks in 30 mins. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend Scott's place to anybody.
