Solitude after long gravel road
Plenty of solitude here, but you have to drive down a long gravel road (6 miles?) to get here.
No sign to let you know you are at the right spot, but the silos pictured in the listing are easy to spot.
The actual campsite is next to an abandoned homestead with ancient buildings falling down. I think that is kind of charming, but I didn't expect it.
The camping spot was full of tall, dried grass, it clearly hadn't been mowed in a long time.
Plenty of wildlife. We saw red-shouldered hawk and antelope.

Appreciated the quiet and dark; yet, a short drive to Billings and the interstate. So much better than noisy public campgrounds. Little road traffic, no trains, no lights, no other campers.

Very peaceful, high enough up to see for a hundred or more miles.

Old Farm Camp Ground
Camp is about a half hour from Laurel, Mt. You can see forever in any direction. The sunsets are spectacular. The wild life is plentiful:Antelope, deer, turkey, prairie dogs and birds of prey. You do come a dirt road that you follow for a couple miles that is well maintained with very little wash boards.
