When you come to camp here you are on a working farm in transition. Girlfarm has been a local food go to for restaurants, farm family members, and regenerative agriculture interests. Today, the farm is looking forward to a new course in agri tourism as we begin planning walking gardens, art installations in the landscape, and interactive classes. If you would like a list of grass fed meats available, veggies, or herbs just text your host before arrival. We are looking for a seasonal self contained camper who we could offer trade for camp care - text host directly. Its been a huge water season so skeeters are around we also recommend tents have a rain fly and ground cloth. Welcome It was important to choose a partner like Hipcamp to invite like minded individuals who respect both the natural environment and the idea of less is more. At any time you may encounter farming activities, building out of tiny houses for future bookings, or gardens in the process of creation. As we move toward offering the land as a place to both find solitude or chosen participation our Flyte and Sparrow experience will hopefully be a place you will want to return to as your own tradition.

Great Host and Amazing Property
We absolutely loved our stay at Wendy’s farm! She is a friendly and warm person, immediately welcoming. She was very accommodating, responded quickly to our last-minute booking, offered us some firewood and let us fill up our water jug, all of which we were very grateful for! The happy little blue songbirds were busily building nests in the bird boxes that she had put up for them near our campsite. We hope to stay with Wendy again and learn more about the restoration work and interesting things she’s doing on her amazing desert property.

Overnighter Tent site #2
Beautiful & rustic
Beautiful rustic spot in the country for our van camper - close to Reno. Site was level & furnished with fireplace & wood. About 5 miles on dirt road from 395. Safe & quiet spot with frogs, crickets and ducks. At first arrival, we were a little confused but texted Wendy who was quick with instructions. Nice communicative host. First time experience with composting toilet - worked well & had great views. Will book again, when in the area.

Overnighter/Late Arrival Camp
Wendy’s property was the perfect solution to our roadtrip north towards Oregon. It’s exactly as described, in fact, better. The ground is level with a little greenery ground cover to make a soft place for a tent (in April). We had everything we needed and then some! Wendy was communicative and thoughtful. This is a fantastic and safe option if you’re needing a safe, restful stopover during your travels. This is a rare gem in the area!

Overnighter/Late Arrival Camp
I had a lovely time camping at Wendy’s! I stayed while on a solo road trip (as a woman) and felt extremely safe and comfortable the entire time. Wendy was very sweet and brought me firewood after arriving. Also gave me some tips about my trip across Nevada. It is a beautiful location as well and the sunset was spectacular. I definitely recommend staying here, especially those who are solo traveling and need a safe place to pull over:)

Fantastic spot
Fantastic spot. Beautiful, peaceful. The firepits and toilets are great. The stars were so amazing. We were just a quick overnight, but could have hung out all day. Highly recommend.
