“CAMP CAZ” RUSSIAN RIVER CABIN
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful water flowing through wild rocks and landscape that provides a base camp below with the cabin up top a warm, comforting place to come back to after the day.

“CAMP CAZ” RUSSIAN RIVER CABIN
Camp Caz Love
Camp Caz was AMAZING!! The property has its own private stream (river?) with a waterfall that was pretty full at this time of year. There were a lot of water amenities and the trail leading down to the water was doable with coffee in one hand and art supplies in the other. The cabin was also great. We slept on the extendable sofa in the living room and could see stars through the big front windows. It also had a lot of amenities that made it feel more like a home than a cabin, like, a French press, lots of games, fun old records you can play on a turntable, etc. It was exactly the type of peace and privacy we were looking for and hope to return.

Great cabin getaway!
We had a great time at Carrie’s cabin. The place is situated right up a hill from the river and is very secluded and peaceful. Our kids enjoyed hiking down to the river and playing along the river shore. The cabin had lots of board games and there is a record player with many old albums that were enjoyed. Would definitely stay there again!

“CAMP CAZ” RUSSIAN RIVER CABIN
Redwoods Paradise
We've travelled pretty extensively to the Russian River, but we have never experienced anything like this. Acres and acres of lush forest, perched majestically on a hill, with views of a rushing river below. What a treat!
We passed the time with cooking, and games, and lots of trips to the river. It was about 65 when we visited, and we swam. It was bracing for sure, but so, so fun.
A few things I wish I had known beforehand. The neighbor Carrie mentions isn't really that close! I was envisioning waving to them every time I went outside, and maybe giving us stink-eye, but they are quite far away. Even if you walk to the boundary, you can't really see the house. So the cabin is very private!
Some reviews mentioned that the trek down to the river is steep. You can't roll a stroller down there or anything, but it is really quite a lovely jaunt, and nothing unreasonable. I was up and down over 10 times during the stay, and it is about 5 minutes each way.
The beds don't look like much, but they are so comfortable! I have slept in beds in premium hotels that are much worse. Got a lot of good zzzz's on this trip.
It mentions needing to bring firewood, but we didn't bring firestarters/kindling (rookie mistake). Luckily I had picked up the Bohemian paper in town and we foraged for sticks.
Finally, we had a couple of things come up, which needed to be addressed - hey, it happens - but Carrie could not have been more responsive and helpful. *THAT* is super important for hosting.

“CAMP CAZ” RUSSIAN RIVER CABIN
Magical redwoods cabin
Magical at any time of year - I just spent a cozy rainy weekend here and I can’t recommend Carrie’s place enough.
The cabin was well stocked and comfortable. The land was stunning, right on the rushing river and nestled in the gorgeous redwoods.
