Gem in the redwoods
Wow, this place is so special! Julie and Ray are gracious and welcoming, and their place is so special. Nestled into the hillside above a creek in the redwoods, swings tucked amongst the trees, gently lit paths, fire pits and picnic tables, an outdoor and a full indoor kitchen available for use, and a couple of of decks overlooking the trees and river for lounging. There’s even fabulous art all around the property! Julie serves up fresh baked goodies and overall it feels like a hidden gem. The pictures really don’t do this place justice.

Loved our stay!
We ended up staying in a different site but the hosts were so accommodating and helpful! The surrounding area is amazing, so peaceful and beautiful. Loved that dogs can be off leash and there’s near by food.

Lovely stay in the Redwoods
This place was absolutely stunning! The facilities were great and the breakfast was really tasty each morning. The hostess and other people were super nice. The RV/van parking was in a small clearing shared with their personal vehicles, and since this is up in the redwoods, it is shady and closed in. My 19’ van brushed the foliage on the way in and it’s a tight fit. There are nice trails walking from the property and Alice’s is a very short walk for yummy food. If you are looking for time in the cool redwoods, I highly recommend. If you are an open space/ territory view camper, then enjoy one night in these majestic trees and move on.

Memorial Site (site 2)
I can’t recommend this camp site. The property has a house that the host uses as a communal living B&B and the campsites are basically just the surrounding yard. It is very crowded with very little privacy. The outdoor kitchen is on the patio of the house and the restroom is in the house. When we arrived, we were asked to choose from several sites so it didn’t make a difference which one we had reserved online. The nicest sites are near the creek but again have no privacy and there is no space for more than a tent so you wouldn’t be able to set up chairs or use a camp stove there. There is lots of traffic noise. The highlight was that the redwoods and the creek on the property are beautiful.

Redwood Valley Site -5/6
Redwood Valley Site
The property was very beautiful with lots of gorgeous redwoods and neat places to walk and explore. Unfortunately our site, Redwood Valley, did not feel like much of a “site”, but rather like the edge of a parking lot where all the other campers kept their cars. There wasn’t enough space in the site to set up anything like camping chairs etc without being in the midst of a walking path that led campers on our side of the property to the cabin. Probably a great pick for those that are cool with having less privacy and more of a communal experience or people who really want access to a kitchen. Some of the tent sites on the property were very pretty too! But we felt we didn’t get a good sense for our site based on the photos and probably wouldn’t have booked if we had known.
