Greeter Falls Campground is located less than a half mile from the Greeter Falls Trailhead, adjacent to the 16,000 acre Savage Gulf State Park offering over 50 miles of well-marked trails for every skill level. The .08 mile Greeter Falls Trail loop connects you to three awe inspiring waterfalls as well as the nearby Blue Hole swimming area.
We offer many recreational options to help you enjoy the area including Primitive Tent spots, furnished Yurts (Bell Tents) and RV/Travel Trailer sites (each with electrical and water hook-ups). Unlike many RV camps where sites are over-packed into a cramped trailer park setting, all our sites are ensconced within sparsely inhabited raw timberland; with less than 3 sites per acre versus an average of 10-15 nationally.

Camp Chet was founded with the purpose to help people encounter God through outdoor experiences. It encompasses 994 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. Take a hike on miles of trails comprised of forest paths, old wagon roads, or coal mining roads. If you find a chunk of coal on the ground feel free to take it home with you as a souvenir. If you are a history buff, you may be interested in discovering previous caretakers from the late 1800's and early 1900's in nearby cemeteries. The camp ground is on top of a mountain, and you will have to go through a locked gate and drive over a mile and half on a bumpy gravel/dirt road. You will be most comfortable in a vehicle that is suitable for rugged terrain.Day trips less than an hour away include the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Nickajack Lake and Bat Cave among many others. Signal Mountain is an oasis 20 minutes outside of Chattanooga and the area is an outdoor lovers paradise. There are many waterfall and river hikes, places to climb, water holes, the Tennessee River to paddle in, and lakes to explore. There is also tons of history in this area. There is a wonderful hike just down the road from us that is a segment of the Cumberland Trail and 2 beautiful waterfall hikes within 15 minutes drive of the campsite. We love this area and it is an amazing area for those that love the outdoors, tons of outdoor activities.
Your campsite comes with full hook-ups and a picnic table with an open area surrounded by beautiful and large trees.
There is a 7 day limit, but we are open for longer stays if we can either meet you or learn more about you to determine whether it would be a good fit for our family. I am also open to last minute reservations, but those need to be requested.
We are allergic to smoke, so ask that you not smoke on any part of our property (it is allowed inside your RV/trailer/car with the windows up).
We do not allow any pets that will be outside at all.
Our family lives here close by so you will see us working and playing on our land. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.

I recently acquired this property that has been in my family for over 100 years and my original home place until around 1980. My wife and I initially made this site for our own RV use, but we want to share it for others to enjoy and also to help finance our constant improvements. The original house that I grew up in is still located on the property but is currently uninhabitable (for now). My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. I am working hard to restore this property to the way I remember it and trying to make it enjoyable for those that come to visit. A majority of the property is still being used as a hay field during the summer months and two to three times a year the hay is usually harvested.
