Camp Strong Wood

Camp Strong Wood derives its name from the many natural growth oak trees found on the property as well as being in the Strong Hope community. Wildlife abounds with deer, rabbit, squirrel, fox, racoon, opossum, armadillo, chipmunk among other forest dwellers. The lake is in a natural flood bottom and is stocked with largemouth bass, perch, channel catfish and natural flathead catfish which came in through the creek which runs through the land.

Grounds keeper on property to help out in any way.

Once farmland, this 7.5 acre property is situated between a cattle farm and a pine timber plantationThe last owner fenced the land for horses and a horse barn and small arena still exist on the property.Learn more about this land:Enjoy a peaceful country setting at an open campsite overlooking a small lake.  Watch for wild ducks and cranes on the water, as well as an occasional deer passing through the area.   Fish for bass from the bank or from a small boat on location.      

The Ruatic Fauna

The 65 plus acres is on the Richland Creek and had many tribes pass thru the property in the 17 and 1800's.Learn more about this land:Over a 65 acre property for Adults Only. Features a fishing lake, 2 Tent Canvas Cabins, Hiking Trails, Off Road Biking, Hunting, Entertainment Building and only 8 miles SW of Bass Pro Shop in Pearl, Ms. Total Stay per night is $95  for 2 for Tent Lodging. The Meals, Beverages, Happy Hour Bev are extra.

Patch of Heaven offers a quite Location with beautiful open fields where Belted Galloway cattle graze throughout the day.  The campsite views
include a large pond or a secluded 5 acre grassy knoll .We are a family farm passionate about organics, Heritage breed animals, and teaching others how to be more self sufficient **** no matter where you live-rural, suburbs, city -it’s achievable!

After setting up camp you can relax by the fire and take in a beautiful sunset!

The cattle graze freely throughout the property and may even come visit your campsite!

When exploring the property you’ll meet some curious little piggies! Super cute and very friendly!

The location of the campsite is perfect to watch sunrise from.

Hike the property an hour before sunset for some beautiful golden views.

Follow the fence line to explore the green pastures filled with livestock.

There are friendly horses that roam the property and don’t mind curious onlookers.

This property has incredible night skies for all you stargazers out there.

The donkeys are especially friendly and love pats!

Wildwood

Wildwood is almost 100 years old and we have been lovingly renovating this property for the past few years. The lake used to be horse pasture until the breeding operation halted and the lake was built. We share this farm with many animals, domestic and wild, and are glad to be a small part of its long history. We love sharing this place with people who appreciate nature’s beauty.Learn more about this land: Wildwood is a small acreage hobby horse farm in a rural setting on large acreage private lake. Two kayaks and a small row boat are available, but bring your own fishing gear. The lake is stocked with bass and brim. You will always catch a fish here! 
 
Want to relax? Our farm is peaceful and serene, with local wildlife and great birding opportunities. We have an incredible variety of migratory songbirds that we welcome to the farm each year. You may even get to see bald eagles fishing the lake if you’re quiet. Watch the horses graze in their fields and geese land in the lake as the sun sets. A small slice of heaven on earth, the star gazing is phenomenal on clear nights. The cicadas, crickets and bullfrogs create a natural sound machine for restful nights. No light pollution out here and the Milky Way can be seen. 
   
We are just 15 minutes from 1-55, and 18 minutes to the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway for traveling and cycling. 20 minutes to the Reservoir for large scale fishing, boating and water sports.   Level gravel parking area with electric and water availability is right next to our barn. There are bugs (it’s nature) in the spring/summer/fall so please bring bug spray and be prepared. We use Mosquito Spartans to help keep mosquitoes in control.
