We loved the tent camping experience eventhough it was pouring rain and windy. It is clean and well maintained. We had a great time considering it was our first time to camp!

Hansel's Hideaway
Cabin was spacious, very few mosquitoes (but flies are still plenty). Itâs nice that there is a Keurig machine and coffee pods provided, but I think it eats so much power that it causes the generator to start beeping loudly, especially if you have something else plugged in, like an electric cooler. Keep in mind if you are staying during any rainy or overcast days, the generator is solar powered and may not have enough for your appliances. Bring your own if you must. Floor was a little dusty when we checked in. The showerâs water pressure is not great either even after following the guide on how to work the shower. I understand they probably donât want you using too much water, but just something to consider.
Other than that, really appreciated the grill, grilling racks, charcoal and logs for the wood stove provided. The hosts were very quick to answer any questions you have, and the value and location is worth it. Aside from the shower and some power issues, Iâd say this is quite comparable to the provincial parks!
Erik and Angela's grounds are a really special place. They have so many different (and very spacious) campsites situated in a lovely forest loop, where sun rays pop in create the most beautiful scenes. Our campsite was very well kept and fit our 3 tents comfortably. It's great that each site comes with its own fire pit and fire wood. The camping experience is made so comfortable, as there are a few different bathrooms, a hot shower, and activities spread out around the property.
The best part is the energy and the hosts. They are lovely people and great at communicating. We had the best chats with Erik, who quickly became a friend. He is actually a pilot and can take you out on his plane onsite! He was also working on a few new features to offer in the future. It's wonderful to see so much heart go into a space.

Camp Pelee was so nice and spacious! We loved how private our site was, surrounded by beautiful wooded areas! The property was beautiful, with a variety of sites to choose from. It was so nice and quiet. Was so nice to disconnect and be surrounded by nature for a few days. Turkey Point Beach is also super close for day trips to the beach. We throughly enjoyed our time away here. We are already planning our next trip back! Would 100% recommend this spot!

This place was great. Big private campsites, little to no bugs and quiet! It was a bit confusing when we arrived but be aware of the signs and you wonât have an issue. We will be back here 100!
This is the second time we stayed at Magic Forest and the first time we stayed at Starstruck. Very open, for the most part private because it's far from the other sites. There was an Aurora forecast on the night we stayed there but there was 100% cloud coverage. It would have been perfect. We will book again.
This was our first HIPCAMP stay and everything exceeded our expectations. Erik and Angela are excellent hosts. Very responsive, checked in with us before our stay and they gave very detailed instructions on how to get to camp. We had no trouble at all. Campsites are very large and clean. There are a few horse shoe pits around for fun and a tree swing my son loved! The bathrooms are what you'd expect with camping. Hot showers are available @ a cost. Other campers are noticable but far enough away you feel completely private yet not alone at night.
Wood was chopped (already on site $) there are also bags of wood in a wood shed ($) The amenities and the beach are a close drive away. There are also 2 cabins on site that looked very cool especially for a fall/winter getaway. We are so happy we found this beautiful property. Can't wait to return next year âšïžđ

Hansel's Hideaway
Nice little cabin with electricity. The fan was key as it was a bit warm the night we stayed. We were driving through, and we have a couple of pups that need space, and this place worked out perfectly for us. It was a bit of a sandy area, so trying to keep dog feet/ all feet somewhat clean took some thought, but overall we would stay again.
Loved this spot for our first family camp out. We were at Starstruck and it was very private and huge ! Lots of wildlife around. This is a Well equipped camp. Loved the shower and the outhouses were clean. Water for washing is a plus. Very good communication. Recommend !
Spring Arbour bunkie id one of a few bunkies in Angela and Erik's Bush, directions were very clear, communication was excellent, from the directions given at the booking to notes inside the cabin and also the outhouse.
The cabin inside was exactly as described, with bottled water and a solar power provided as well as a fireplace inside, s wonderful addition.
Lots of firewood was provided and available for purchase, as well as chairs to sit on around the fire pit and on the little porch.
I can't say enough just what thoughtful and kind hosts Angel and Erik are.
We will be back sometime!

We loved this place! Star Struck backed on to a peaceful forest and faced a sprawling farm. Couldn't hear or even see the other camper so it was very private. We sat out at night and gazed at a massive Star filled sky. We definitely will be coming back. I highly recommend staying here.

Spring Arbour Magic Forest and Trails was wonderful. The Pottahawk site was quite large in comparison to Ontario Parks sites and much better value. It was also close to everything but far away enough from neighbors that you were never disturbed. Just up the street a few minutes was a convenience store if you needed anything or ran out of any supplies, which was very convenient. I would definitely recommend it and come back for sure.
We really enjoyed our short stay here, the views were beautiful and the plots secluded enough that they were very private, although close enough we didnât feel entirely alone. We did feel that the facilities were limited enough that we wouldnât stay for more than a couple of nights, and the bugs were pretty bad so we needed to keep the fire on when at the campsite. Feels very close to wild camping. There was a fire pit and access to firewood at every pitch which was really nice. Overall a very pleasant stay!
Great sites, beautiful property. Lots if nature to take in. The added bonus of having firewood readily available was a plus! Definitely recommend.
What a lovely stay! There was so much wildlife in such a small space! Birds, bats, fireflies, squirrels. Not to mention a beautiful view of the sunset and stars. The site was clean, well stocked with chopped wood, and SO spacious. I will absolutely be back!

This place is a gem. Sites are private and spacious and the property is quiet, peaceful, and well maintained. It's a great location with lots to do nearby with hiking trails and beaches a short drive away. Angela and Erik are also wonderful hosts, very helpful and responsive. Can't wait to be back!
I will be coming back! The weekdays were quiet, with almost nobody visible. Weekends were much more fully booked up, but sites are so private you would hardly know it.
I had no trouble fitting my pop-up camper. Water and washroom are right by the Long Point site, but they were not very busy with other campers. I was able to charge my solar in a sunny spot just out the forest in the field. Groundcover was minimal, no poison ivy I saw, and no ticks. Didn't need my sun shade tents or awning. There were a couple mosquitos and deerflies but really not many at all! Very lovely. There were also horseshoe pits!
I was nervous about finding a private-enough site to not have to "manage" the manners of my tethered dogs with people walking by. It was so quiet that little was required. I was able to have my younger dog off leash for some forest fetching up and down pathways, which he thought was really fun.
The nearby gas bar had everything we needed. Hiked and did museum and historic village at Backhus Conservation. Rented a canoe at Cronmiller's. hiked the marshes, took dogs swimming, saw long point.
Will be back to do this again! Still so much left to do in the area.
Loved tent camping on the Starstruck site. Loads of space and a plenty of peace and quiet. The view of the stars after dark is unbelievable. Awesome place. Canât wait to return again.

A simple yet wonderful camping site. Basic amenities like a toilet and cold shower are refreshing to have at this rustic site. The name truly fits as the forest does feel magical and private from site to site. This is my third stay and I will always choose this location before any other in Ontario. Of course this is fitting for those who prefer a more ârawâ camping experience without electricity or water to each site but in my opinion that only makes the experience all the better. The hosts offer all the information you could need and are more than willing to tend to concerns or issues during the stay. The access to firewood and trails is easier than any other I have witnessed. I would definitely recommend a stay, especially considering all the amenities in the area Including groceries , gas, countless beaches both private and public within a half hour drive , the wetlands tours available, the wildlife in the beautiful provincial parks/conservation areas and even the costal wine tour all within your reach. The hosts offer a multitude of add ons that include everything you could need from power banks, heated showers and firewood to small aircraft âfan flightsâ boat rentals rides and kayak/canoe pick ups. As a regular attendant I couldnât feel more strongly about recommending this site. Thank yall for such a peaceful and wonderful stay!
We had a nice stay at the Erie site at Magic Forrest campground. The sites are spread out so you don't have to worry about noise complaints, and the surrounding trees are beautiful. The only thing to be cautious of are the bathroom/shower facilities. If you are expecting facilities of a provincial park you will be disappointed. It wasn't a problem for my group and I would definitely come back.

I had a lovely 2 night stay. Arbour Springs Magical Forest is a very peaceful and calming hideaway in the woods.
We had a touchless check-in and check-out, and the detailed video instructions made the process completely seamless. The site was very spacious for our rooftop tent and 4-person tent, perfectly situated right at the edge of the farm and forest. The trails were wide and well-maintained. Our doodle, Aggie, absolutely ~loved~ doing zoomies through them before bed!
The enclosed shower took a little bit of tinkering (we just needed to release the main valve at the very top to get it going). Even with a cloudy night sky that sent us to bed early, we only stayed for one night and found it to be truly a no-fuss, magical experience.

I loved staying here. This has been the best camp site. This camp site has raised my standards, and I don't think I'll stay at another provincial park. 10 out of 10
As an avid camper, this was my first Hipcamp experience, and not only that, it was my first experience as a solo camper. It was excellent. I stayed in Pine Haven, which is on the small side, but perfect for a single camper. Very quiet. Good layout. Flat ground. Brought my own fire wood, but they had tons available. Easy to find. The mosquitoes came out at about 8:00 but died down in 30 mins. Not sure what else to say, it was everything I wanted in a site as a solo camper.
It was a great surprise to find out they were 2 minutes away from Ontario Popping Corn (Uncle Bobs Popcorn), so I stopped by their farm store, and interestingly apparently the camp sitr backs on to their popcorn field! Amazing popcorn! Also 15 minutes away from some great birding at Long Point. So great facilities near by!

It was fine. The site was a little weedy and it wasn't totally clear where to park and set up for my site. The sites are right off an old/active (corn) field so lots of cobs around and lots of garlic mustard throughout the woods. Signal was pretty bad throughout town and camp (Fido) - which is not on the owners, but essentially got in and out with the pre-sent doc which was helpful.
This place is a hidden gem! The camp is in the perfect location- super close to hiking, beaches, and restaurants. The hosts were excellent! We opted for the plane ride with Erik. I will say- this is a MUST DO when you are here. He gave a very informative flight lesson and we saw stunning views. My dog had a great time playing. Also, the stargazing is incredible! This camp is situated right by a cell tower so we had no issues getting on the internet.
I would 1000% recommend this site. I almost want to gatekeep!
