Set amongst the rainforest, with hammocks, a place to swim in the creek, a spot to quietly watch platypus, well equipped camp kitchen, wood for a big fire each night, and little fairy lights leading down pathways to the showers and toilets at night.

Picturesque beyond words
Platypus Bush Camp was a delight. It was at the perfect location, in amongst lush rainforest, just a short drive from the Finch Hatton Girge walk and Broken River, Eungella National Park. We enjoyed our afternoon swims in the picturesque waterhole, chats with other campers around the campfire, and fell asleep to the sound of the babbling brook. Shane and Zoe were the perfect hosts and the facilities were 10/10!

This was my first time using Hipcamp and I was not disappointed. The camp is in a beautiful spot completely surrounded by rainforest, and the facilities are amazing. The host was super friendly, and even let us check in early at no extra cost. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway, you won’t be disappointed.

What a beautiful little piece of heaven on Earth. We were greeted by the hosts and felt welcome It was well equipped with toilets and outdoor showers. The place has everything 2 outdoor kitchen, communal camp fires. A running creek and pathways. 5 mins down the road from Finch Hatton Gorge. One of the best places I have visited. Site 9 was perfect for a bit of extra privacy and big. Put this on your places to visit and stay. Definitely recommend and will be back again 🌺💛🌞🏞

Rainforest camp ⛺️
We honestly had a best family camping trip here and will hopefully back again soon. Pristine rainforest, crystal clear creek with camps close enough to hear the water when you fall asleep- bliss. Enough shady spots, camp kitchens, communal areas, easy access natural swim pools & hot showeres with views 🌿 You can see how much love and care has been poured into this place with the new owners who are lovely and very welcoming. It’s now our favourite camp spot around an easy 10/10. Thanks again for having us ✌🏽
