Our property is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd Virginia. We are located 7 miles from the town of Floyd, 13 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 16 miles from Virginia Tech. You can enjoy boating, kayaking or swim and fish in the ponds, pick apples, collect walnuts, relax in the woods by the creeks, say hello to farm animals and watch the wildlife. You can see the most beautiful sunsets and spectacular views from the ridge. Lots of hiking trails! No Check-Ins after dark. You can freely come and go once checked in. Our place can be hard to find in the dark. If you’ve been here before you are welcome to show up anytime. This site is primitive camping near the woods without mountain views. Please contact us before booking large groups. There is a fire pit with seating and a picnic table. You may choose to camp near the fire, or in the Octopus Forest. You can go boating, kayaking or swim and fish in the pond, relax in the woods by the creek, say hello to farm animals and watch the wildlife. Warm water is available in the barn for showers, and you can charge your cell phones while there. The barn is about a 2 minute walk from your site. This is a common area, so bring a swimsuit and don't forget water shoes. Beautiful property
We tent camped for one night at the farm. The farm is beautiful.... like something out of a fairytale. There are friendly farm animals and beautiful, well maintained fields. We met a friendly pony and cow dog. The main draw for us was the fishing pond. We caught two types of sunfish and largemouth bass. All of the fish were fairly large and fought hard. In the evening the bite was very good. I did best with topwater flies with a fly rod. My daughter did well with worms & bobber and topwater lures. Amanda is very kind and gracious. She met us when we arrived to explain the property. Follow her advice and use google maps to navigate to the property. All other apps did not rout us correctly. It is very easy to find using Google maps. We camped at the Octopus Forest site. It felt very secluded. There was plenty of shade, a comfortable hammock, two picnic tables in good repair, and large fire pit at the site. We use T-mobile and had decent cell reception.

Great time at the pond!
We enjoyed our stay here and made great use out of the pond, trails, and swing set. Our dog enjoyed the company of Pudder, the friendly Great Pyrenees, who hung out with us all weekend. Amanda and Chris were welcoming and gracious hosts. We would love to return here to camp again.
