Just a small piece of God's creation right on the Saluda River. Come and enjoy the solitude and serenity of this spot on the Saluda River, surrounded by thousands of acres of forests and farms. Camp on the river, in the field or overlook the river from the high bluff in the old growth forest. The gravel road going down to the river is finished, I drive my Honda Civic down daily and no issues (very low clearance). Kayaking from Holiday Dam to the camp site is incredible. The trip takes about 3.5 hours with lots of shoals and rapids. You can also kayak or tube from the camp site to Erwin Mill bridge in a little over an hour. This is more of a river float with just a couple rapids, but equally as beautiful.

We had a great time camping along the river on John's land! Our dogs had a blast exploring and John had firewood ready for us when we arrived. Highly recommend!

Remote, private and clean!

This place is amazing!! Site was good size, very private and clean. Can't wait to book another trip to this property. I really want to thank the owner for sharing this place. We do NOT do campgrounds ( not a fan of looking at the back of other campers) I have had such good luck with Hipcamp and it's because of owners like this.

Fun Spot on the River, Great Deal

We had a great time even for a single night! We chose a spot right by the river, which, while a little buggy, ended up being great for our group and had terrific access to the river. We brought our stand-up paddleboards with us and played in the water for a while. The water is great but does move a little quicker than you’d expect. Unless you’re a sulfuring paddler looking for a good workout, you’ll probably want to park a car down at the park and float all the way down. Firewood was available and the host was pleasant and helpful. Would absolutely come back again.
