Since 2003 the land has been home to people, horses, dogs, chickens and barn kitties, a hay field and fruit, vegetable, and flower gardens. Enjoy the country atmosphere in driving proximity to Indianapolis amenities. A great place for a unique getaway. A couple days per week from mid-March to Mid-December, the almost 20 acre property hosts a not for profit children’s physical therapy program called, “TheraTails and Learning Trails”. This program has been taking place at the farm since 2006 serving children with various physical therapy needs. The farm has a short nature trail with a wood chipped path. Visitors may go on foot or use their own bicycles or golf cart to ride the perimeter of the property or the mowed paths. Our location is convenient to county roads for foot or bicycle touring. Located just 20-30 minutes from the Indianapolis International Airport, downtown Indianapolis, the Indianapolis 500, drag racing, state parks, horseback riding, and numerous small town fairs, The Covered Bridge Festival, and farmers markets. Easy access to I-74, fuel, eating establishments, groceries, gyms, a water park and the McCloud Nature Center. Come stay at Daves Country Gem, and get a taste of rural living.

Tent Camping Wayside 2

Nice site, good location! Host was accommodating to us needing a site when the others were booked. A fun weekend was had! Sites are rather close to hosts home and others camping, in the event that you are seeking something more remote and away from neighbors.

Car Camper Site

The views were beautiful. I do wish we weren’t so close to the other campers, but there than that, felt safe, satisfactory, and having a porter potty was very helpful!

Relaxing Country Spot

We parked our camper at Dave’s farm for our son’s baseball tournament in Brownsburg. It was the perfect landing spot for our family of 5. The kids enjoyed chatting with the farm helper and she was gracious enough to let our kids interact with the animals. Please don’t expect this, we didn’t, but it was a bonus! Potta potty was clean and close by. We recommend eating at the BBQ place just up the road. Great trip. Thanks!

Car Camper Site

This was the second time I have stayed at Dave's. Both times were excellent! Clean Port-O-Pottie and peaceful scenery. I only stayed one night both times, but feel I would have enjoyed more time there!

We loved staying on the farm!! Beautiful surroundings, and Dave was an excellent host!! Try the baked goods they’re delightful as well!! We’ll be back for sure!
