Yurts in New Mexico guide

Overview

If you want a camping experience but prefer a bit more protection from the elements (or don’t want to deal with setting up a tent) a stay in a New Mexico yurt is a great happy medium. While weather in much of the US can be unpredictable in spring and fall, the shoulder seasons in New Mexico are generally warm and dry. Winters can get cold and summers can get hot, but the relative dryness found throughout much of the state makes extreme temperatures a bit more bearable, even in a yurt. If you're willing to book well in advance, you can rent a yurt at Hyde Memorial State Park near Santa Fe, but don't feel that you're restricted to just one park. There are tons of privately owned yurts across the state, many of which come with perks like cozy beds with linens and even wifi.
