The title says it all this property is truly A Unique Mountain Retreat that will give you the peace, quiet and tranquility you are looking for. An energy efficient Uniquely designed home that is off the grid and has a very green footprint with solar and windmill to charge batteries. Oak and pine tree covered acres with fitness and nature trails around the property. Each level campsite with picnic table is designed for privacy with plenty of distance between sites and mountain views in every direction, along with an optional gas log fire pit and BBQ. There is plenty of clean, non potable drinking water, custom built toilets and optional hot showers, limited electrical use, cell phone charging and low power use devices as I am off grid. There is a fitness and nature trail on the property and Pacific Crest trail is approx 20 to 30 min drive, Mountain park which has many miles of hiking trails and an Indian reservation with hikes to many petroglphs. Things to see are the World famous Tehachapi railway loop, historic downtown, vineyards, mountain spirit center a Buddhist temple, glider rides, bicycle riding and fishing. There is cell service around the property but intermittent at the campsites.

We loved our camping experience on John’s property. From the moment we arrived he was the best host and continued to check in on us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We were able to go one some nice walks on the property where the kids could explore. The bathroom and showers were very nice and well kept. We highly recommend John’s property.

Very nice experience
We had a great time at John’s Unique Moutain Retreat ! After our arrival, he showed us the amazing view from his house and accompanied us to our campsite. We didn’t have time for his short trail but it looked awesome ! The facilities of the campground are great. We recommend it

I had a great time car camping at John’s place! He has lots of different plots and a great walking trail around the property. It was pretty windy when I was there, but he had a gas fire pit ready which was very handy.

Great camping spot!
This is a nice place to stay! They have picnic tables setup and flat spots for setting up the tent, as well as a bathroom and optional shower. It’s a nice view too and quiet. Highly recommend!

Unique Mountain Log Cabin
Views beyond!
John’s cabin was pristine and lovely. Amazing views and so cosy. So many personal touches - cravings, decor - he built it all!! And practical touches - fireplace, electricity, frig, adjacent toilet room. Bring padding and bedding. Biggest plus - John and his kind care!!

Great weekend getaway
Loved camping on John’s mountain. He is so kind and gracious, gave us a tour of the whole property. We took a nice evening stroll for sunset on his 20acre land, great vistas all around. Toilets at the campsite are well maintained and clean, just like the rest of his property. Highly recommend and would return again!
