Guest note: we rotationally graze our cattle (while the campground is open for business) in the months of February/March/April/May/and early June. Message before booking if you want to know if the cattle are on the grounds when you wish to say. They are docile yet curious but pose no threat to campers.

I've lived in far-Northern CA and Southern Oregon my whole life, except for school/training, so State of Jefferson is my home. We bought this land in 2017, when it was just brush, poison oak, and a rotten bridge. Learn more about this land:Campsite on 72 acres along beautiful Jumpoff Joe Creek. Shaded, adjacent to romantically lighted timber-frame private covered bridge (no traffic). Very secluded, but only 1/2 mile from I-5 (no freeway noise, though). Private "beach" area and kid-friendly water play area with wild creatures (turkey, deer, fish, crayfish, water striders, turtles, frogs, etc.). Picnic table, tent spots, and fresh water spigot. Short hiking trails (watch out for poison oak!). Best for tenting, smaller RV's, tree tents, or rooftop tents. >100 yards from nearest structure. 3 nights max except by private arrangement. NO smoking/vaping/marijuana. NO wood fires, but propane fire-ring is available -- bring your own propane tank or pay $5 extra to use my propane tank if available. Good cell service from Google Fi/USCellular. WiFi available on porch of owner's house by request.

Lorane Beach Club is a sunny paradise a top a hill hidden in the dense Oregon forest. We have a spa complex for guests to enjoy, along with a shady grove to pitch your tent.
Campers have access to drinking water, picnic tables, seasonal fire rings, toilets, and the spa ($10/person).
The campsites are secluded and located about a three minute walk from the spa. Since our property is on top of a hill, bugs are minimal and sunshine is plentiful. We ask that you wear shoes while walking around our place. Clothing is optional at the spa. What you are comfortable with works for us.
We're right down the road from Carpenter's Bypass, a great mountain biking trail system, Alesong Brewery, and King Estate, Oregon's largest winery.
Drive slowly because of dogs and humans and our nice gravel road.
We love all dogs, but please keep yours on a leash as we have two of our own. If they're friendly, they can play off leash.

Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite.
Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge!
There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive.
There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go.
The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months. There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table.
The "site 1" camping spot has a driveway that is hard-packed grass and is not gated. There is a small fire pit on the path by the river. There are areas under the trees both up top near the road and down near the path that are suitable for tents.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

The immediate area of the campsites is treated for poison oak, but there is a lot of it on the property once you are away from the river's edge. Pets are likely to encounter it. The ticks tend to have a couple seasons when they are more plentiful, typically the Spring and early Fall. Although we didn't see any in August and early September, they could be present any time.Currently no access for larger RVs. Truck campers and camper vans can be accommodated. If you have any kind of RV, check with us before booking.Cow Creek is a class 1 stream and a tributary to the South Umpqua River. There is a dam at the headwaters of Cow creek which assures a consistent year-round flow of clean fresh water. Steelhead and wild salmon runs have increased dramatically since the dam was built in about 1992. The swimming is excellent, as the topography and lay of the land create a perfect private swimming hole. The property encompasses both sides of the river for 3/4 of a mile. Some of the land is steep and heavily forested. There are a number of flatter meadows on benches as the property comprises a portion of the northern slope of Iron Mountain.Learn more about this land:Creekside camping beside the looong swimming hole on our 140 acre forest land. Located 11 miles from the Riddle Oregon exit on I-5, the Swimming, fishing, bird watching, hiking and stargazing are all fantastic. There is no electric power at all on the property. No cell service. THE TRAIN: You are almost certain to be woken in the wee hours of the morning during the work week of Monday thru Friday (approx. 5:00 a.m.) by the VERY LOUD and SCREECHING train on the other side of the creek. If you'll be okay with that, riverside paradise awaits!
