Site 10 - Happy Horse Camping, Cabin, and RV
Wonderful place to camp. The outdoor shower has hot water and is rustic, but cute. The location is close to Bastrop and Austin. Lots to see and do! Nice hiking trails near by. The owners are friendly, helpful, and available. Nice place away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy real camping in a peqceful setting under the stars.

We stayed on night while passing through the Austin Tx area. Nice chill place and awesome hosts with lots of space for our dog to run.

The Camping Palace (sleeps 1-2)
5 star glamping experience
This was our first time “glamping” and Hollis and Beaux have set the bar pretty high for future experiences.
They clearly put themselves in their guests' shoes and thought of everything you might need to be comfortable, from firewood by the fire pits to lights in the outhouses so you can see at night without a flashlight. There’s even an outdoor sink with running water near the famous camp shower.
And for those of us who lack basic camping skills, they even provided a fire-starting tutorial.
The electrical amenities like the electric skillet and the coffee maker made our life easier in addition to the outside grill. And Beaux’s coffee blend was delicious. The result was we never found ourselves foraging for food at nearby restaurants, though they happily provided suggestions should we need them.
I highly recommend this place, and I imagine this will become a go-to spot for us.

Wonderfully unique!
Great site with plenty of shade, fire ring, picnic table, grill, and extra chairs. Big enough to accommodate RV and tent easily. Hosts were great at making us feel welcome and very knowledgeable about the area. Wonderful, unique camping experience!

We’ll be back
The owners have been so genuine, and worked with us in our crazy schedules. The property is not only beautiful, but very well maintained and cared for by Hollis and Beaux. They are also considerate and checked in with us on how our stay was going and if we needed anything. We felt we could relax, were safe, and truly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely come back when we need nearby escape from Austin. Thank you!
